Episode 160: Soupified
Trust Your DoctorStupefy!
Halfway through the final season wow. This week we’re back with possibly the most confusing story ever broadcast in the history of television. I promise. It’s Ghost Light, written by Marc Platt, aired October of 1989.
Show-notes:
5:07 Yeah, apparently they used a real house just for the exterior and apparently the observatory was added in post production.
13:37 Well searching “round mini shades” only brought up pictures of lampshades and searching “round mini glasses” brought up pictures of drinking glasses. My google fu is weak. Oh well.
17:35 There were a bunch of guys who researched these moths, but one of the first was someone named JW Tutt. Here’s a random journal article about him. The J didn’t stand for Josiah by the way.
21:19 Meh. Too lazy to read all of this. So maybe. You tell me.
24:04 It’s actually a big slug thing from Star Wars. Oh, sorry that’s Jabba. Java is an island in Indonesia.
37:21 According to a text from Dylan, she had nine heirs. See here for more details.
37:28 He was.

2MTL 393: Ex-"Geek Girls"
Two-minute Time LordI really enjoyed "Before the Flood"–except for one thing that seems to be coming dangerously close to a trend in Doctor Who. And in this episode, as the Radio Times revealed, it was no accident.

Big Blue Box Podcast - Episode 60
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box Podcast
Hey Who fans, we’re at episode 60! Only a couple of news items this week but we give you the low down on our recent convention trip then onto our review of Before the Flood. Let’s fire up the Tardis engines…
The News
This week we discuss…
Some amazing news to kick off with, John “The War Doctor” Hurt has kicked cancer’s ass! After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year he’s come through treatment has been given the all clear. This is good news and we’re looking forward to hearing some of the War Doctor stories from Big Finish soon.
A couple of new commentaries will be with us soon for the once lost stories The Web of Fear and The Enemy of the World. Toby Hadoke will be getting the conversation going with Deborah Watling, Milton Johns and John Levene to name a few. Produced independently of the BBC, they will be available this November from Fantom Films.
“Before the Flood” Review
Last week we were really into Under the Lake and praised it’s suspense, the story and the casts performance. Now that we’re into the conclusion, does that trend continue or are we left feeling wet and soggy?
This week’s trivia question
Last week we asked you – Tom Baker wanted a talking version of which vegetable as a companion? The answer is – a cabbage.
This week’s question is – What football team does Ace support? Give us your answer in the comments below or post it on Twitter or Facebook. Good luck!
Thank you for joining us for episode 60. Thank you for all your comments and thoughts as usual, it’s the best part of the show for us. Until next week – Allons-y!

Episode 27: The Macra Terror Episode 1: Black to Platt
Doctor Who: Fifty Years AgoThis curiously complicated episode draws many comparisons from Luke, Nick and Ben. Its themes of paranoia, culture and crabs are all intensely scrutinised, as are comparisons with episodes fifty years later.

Terminus Podcast -- Episode 12 - Here Comes The Drum: Under the Lake
Terminus: A Doctor Who PodcastLong podcast episode is long. And late. But them's the breaks during a confluence of technical issues and illness, I suppose? Still, it's finally here, nonetheless!
Now, full disclosure, this episode was actually recorded before the second part 'Before the Flood'' aired, so obviously some of my speculation and predictions didn't quite turn out to come true, of course, but, hey, some of them did! You can even play Nicole-is-right-or-wrong Bingo, if you'd like -- though I don't have any pre-made Bingo cards for the occasion, unfortunately!
Anyway, I hope you all will join me on this episode, as I gush about the newest episode of Doctor Who. And, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

In a shortish podcast this week, we look forward to the Season 10 Blu-ray box-set, we look at how watching the box-sets already issued has caused us to re-evaluate those eras and we celebrate retro comics. DIDDLY DUM PODCAST 112 – Over There
Diddly Dum Podcast
In a shortish podcast this week, we look forward to the Season 10 Blu-ray box-set, we look at how watching the box-sets already issued has caused us to re-evaluate those eras and we celebrate retro comics. We end the podcast by averting (or ignoring) a minor war before boarding the Diddly Dum airship to travel to the DWAS Capitol IV convention where we’ll be the official podcast this coming weekend.

Terminus Podcast -- Episode 12 – Here Comes The Drum: Under the Lake

DIDDLY DUM PODCAST 043 - If Walls Could Talk
Diddly Dum PodcastHayden returns from his trip to New York just in time to watch both “Under the Lake” and “Before the Flood” for this week’s review show. Meanwhile, Matt employs the wonders of Skype to join us from Gareth Kavanagh’s aviary where he’s been birdsitting.
Along the way, the BBC splits the Four Faces of Delusion from One Nation into a North-South divide as we furiously debate the correct pronunciation of “Class” before going on to analyse the obvious similarities between the proposed spin-off and Sister Act. Hayden finally receives his Peter Capaldi figure and finds it a little tall. We explain the significance of Hilda’s Ogden living room in the design of the underwater base and the centrality of the astronomy of “Porridge” to the Doctor Who universe. Hayden and Matt listen in horror to tales of Doc’s A Level English Literature course.
And we even manage to find time to celebrate the clunkiest and most banal sentence in the history of Doctor Who.
