Ep 81 - Red White and Who
GeeklecticHoppin' Whovians! This week, we're joined by Jennifer Adams Kelly, Steven Hill, Jan Fennick, John Lavalie, Nicholas Seidler, and Robert Warnock - the brains behind the book "Red, White, and Who: The Story of Doctor Who in America." We discuss the good ol' days of fandom, the importance of supporting your local PBS station, and Clay's chance encounter with a beloved member of the Doctor Who family at a Waffle House in 1987. Also: convention news and more. (Note: near the end of the interview, there are a few moments where the audio gets a bit spotty due to technical whatsits, which I'm blaming on my cat. No, seriously. She knows what she did.) For more info on the book, and to purchase your own copy: http://www.atbpublishing.com/product/red-white-and-who-the-story-of-doctor-who-in-america/ End Music: "America" by Razorlight

Doctor Who - Ep153: Stop! Don't Move!
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box Podcast
Hey Who fans. Welcome aboard the TARDIS for our infamous waffle, the latest news, merch and then our review of Death to the Daleks.
The News
There's exciting news for any of our listeners who want to try their hand at writing. The Candy Jar Festival recently took place in Cardiff and they've launched a competition where you can submit your short storied for a chance for them to be published! Check the deets here.
We also say goodbye to Victor Pemberton who passed away aged 85. Victor appeared in The Moon Base and then when onto writing for Who, most notably Fury from the Deep which also introduced us to the Sonic Screwdriver.
Merch Corner
A few months ago we mentioned an upcoming book - Doctor Who: Tales of Terror and now it's getting the audio book treatment with people such as Sophie Aldred and Sir Derek Jacobi reading stories.
"Death to the Daleks" Review
It's been quite a while since we spent some time with the Third Doctor and Death to the Daleks is an interesting story. Enough here to keep us entertained or is it a case of weird ornamental flooring winning the day?
Thank you all for listening and those who gave us their reviews. Next week it's the 11th Doctors turn with Nightmare in Silver, get your reviews in for that. Have a fantastic week and remember - Allons-y!

The Tenth Planet
Hoo on WhoMarty and David arrive in the South Pole on Earth in 1986, but it looks strangely "retro" to them as they encounter the Doctor (or his stand-in), Ben and Polly who are doing battle with the Cybermen!! Mondas is fast approaching Earth and sucking the life out of it, will Earth survive? Will humanity be lost and eventually recovered through the art of animation??
The guys also discuss DVD Extras and read listener feedback email. Come join the fun! This episode is dedicated to Polly Hingley, the prettiest and cleverest baby on Planet Earth!

Extra! - This or That
Doctor Who: Verity! This game may not be called You Monster, You, but boy did it end up making us feel like monsters! Join Deb, Erika, Lynne, and Tansy as we make DIFFICULT and TERRIBLE choices that YOU made us pick between. Seriously, I have words for some of you...
Huge thanks to Sage and Kim of Head Over Feels! We blatantly and unashamedly stole borrowed "This or That" from them after their lolarious on-stage version with Paul McGann at LI Who. We appreciate the inspiration, lovely ladies!
As Deb said, there will be more ToT in the future, so feel free to fill this comment thread with suggestions for future editions. Or just yell at us (nicely) for the PAINFUL choices we made.
I'd like to close by apologizing to the 7th Verity, Marie Cat.
