Episode 200 Corrected - Review of 2015 Christmas Special
The Sonic ToolboxIf you have already downloaded Episode 200, than you might have noticed that somehow it was instead Episode 199. We're sorry, we don't know what happened. This is the correct Episode 200. This really is our review of The Husbands of River Song.
We've also replaced the wrong file on the original post with this correct one, so if you haven't downloaded it to your podcast playing device yet (or if you stream it) you should get the correct one when you do. Our original Facebook and Twitter posts are also getting the correct file now, as well. iTunes is also now playing the correct file.
Sorry for the inconvenience. It couldn't have happened at a worse time. Happy New Year!

Episode 101: K9 Compatible Computer Systems
Trust Your DoctorTrust Your Doctor is now available only on K9 OS. Please update.
This week Kiyan and Dylan begin an entirely new journey. No they didn’t start a new podcast, they’re just following the Doctor looking for the KEY TO TIME. I put that in all caps because it seemed pretty important. The quest begins with The Ribos Operation, written by Robert Holmes and aired in September of 1978.

Episode 33: Dream Teams
Something WhoSteven Schapansky is back for a second stint on Something Who, and we've got a new conceit for the occasion. Steven and Richard both choose a pair of Dream Teams from behind the camera, one for the original series and one from the new. And then, armed with our Dream Teams, we think about stories that we'd like to remake using their talents.
Our original series dream team will consist of a Producer / Script Editor / Director / Writer / Designer and Incidental Music Composer, while our new series dream team will be a Showrunner / Exec / Producer / Writer / Director / Designer and Composer.
And it wouldn't be Something Who if we didn't use that concept as a framework for other discussions.

The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.

Joan Crawford with a Little Pencil Moustache
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastIf there was ever any doubt that Brendan is a young man of exceptional taste and discernment, this episode finally lays it to rest with the revelation that his favourite Doctor Who story ever is The Androids of Tara!
Buy the story!
You know the drill by now: In the US, you can buy The Androids of Tara by itself (Amazon US), or as part of the Key to Time box set (Amazon US). In the UK, it’s only available as part of the Key to Time box set. (Amazon UK)
Notes and links
Famously, The Androids of Tara is shamelessly ripped off a loving tribute to Anthony Hope’s popular 1894 novel The Prisoner of Zenda. You can read it here.
We’ve mentioned the fanzine Cottage Under Siege before: it was edited by Neil Corry and Gareth Roberts and published in 1993–1994. Again, please, please, please contact us if you know where we can get copies of it.
You can read the summery and charming discussion of The Androids of Tara from Cornell, Day and Topping’s The Discontinuity Guide at the old BBC Cult website.
Cousins to the Taran wood beast, the Links in the Blakes 7 episode Terminal held a terrible secret to the future of all of mankind. While looking amazingly silly.
Fans of Peter Jeffrey’s Count Grendel of Gracht will also enjoy his turn as a villain in the Avengers episode, Game.
Declan Mulholland, who plays Till in The Androids of Tara played a humanoid Jabba the Hutt in a deleted scene from the original Star Wars (1977).
The Bechdel Test was originally proposed in this comic strip in 1985. But how often does Doctor Who pass the Bechdel test?
