MHC #7 Victory of the Daleks 31.3
Mostly Harmless CutawayT minus 5 days until The Time of Angels.
Welcome to this, the 7th Hitchhiker's Guide to the Whoverse: Mostly harmless Cutaway. Today Eric & Megan break down the newest, latest, and greatest Doctor Who. WARNING: This review/discussion contains pure Dalek DNA and SPOILERS!
Thanks so much to Katrina (@xanister), 1 of the 'Three who Squee' fan creativity @ the Bridging the Rift podcast for providing this episode's intro. We certainly feel her contribution adds a bit of Canadian charm to our otherwise droll program. Please follow the links and check out their opinions & take on the world of Doctor Who fan art.
Disclaimer: At 1 point Eric refers Robert Shearman, author of Dalek & Jubilee as "Ron" Shearman; Please disregard. This Blue Guy literally has a splitting headache therefore these notes will be cut short. All will be fine given time, so sincerely...

Episode 17: The Victory of The Power of the Daleks
The TARDIS TavernContinuing our "Ten Doctors" series, we turn our backs to the Hartnell era and plunge heads-first into "The Power of the Daleks," the first story with Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor.
Unfortunately, as someone at the BBC years ago went on a drunken rampage and scrapped a number of reels, this story no longer exists on film. However, thanks to a legion of geeks who mastered the art of recording episodes with microphones for future playback, we have the luxury of listening to this little gem via the soundtrack available from BBC Radio.
In case you're wondering, it's pure coincidence that we recorded this on the evening that "Victory of the Daleks" premiered, as the two stories have some similarities but exists on opposite ends of the spectrum in regards of quality, if you ask me. So please enjoy this latest episode of The TARDIS Tavern and continue to send feedback to tardistavern@gmail.com, find us on Facebook, and join us on Twitter.
A big thanks goes to dArkpEon (from whomix.trilete.net) for the Doctor Who - In Diaboladalekium (Brown Legions) mix at the end of the show.

Waffle On about The Live Political Leaders Debate on TV
Waffle On PodcastWaffle On about The Leaders Debate.
A slight change here for Waffle On. In this special waffle we talk about the historical political leaders debate that happened on Thursday 15th April 2010. Normaly we would not do this but we think its a break through in British Television. This is the first time that a debate between the three big political parties has been broadcast live on British TV. Nick Clegg (Liberal), David Cameron (Conservative) and Gordon Brown (Labour) stand in front of the cameras and take questions form broadcaster Alastair Stewart.
Please note this is by no way a political podcast this is just a show about the importance of such a historical moment for British TV. We play some brand new promos at the end so please do listen to them.

They've also made appearances in the current "Doctor Who". Join Rand and guests as they discuss all things Dalek, from the classic series, to the new series, to Daleks in other media.

TCR 011: Mo Monsters Mo Problems (16 April 2010)
The Cloister RoomThis week on The Cloister Room, Tom digs into Doctor Who: The Beast Below and Lost: Everybody Loves Hugo, with some kind words for Ashes to Ashes as well.
In Act One, it's all about the monsters, and whether Doctor Who always needs them. In Act Two, Tom makes some minor complaints about how the final season of Lost is going. But in Act Three, Tom turns it around and brings the optimism, praising the first two episodes of series three of Ashes to Ashes.
All this plus the Dune Quote of the Week!
Check out Tom's review of The Beast Below: http://www.behindthesofa.org.uk/2010/04/pushing-the-right-buttons-.html
