Reality Bomb Episode 056
Reality Bomb - a Doctor Who podcastOn the fifty-sixth edition of Reality Bomb, we have a super-sized episode which looks at the legacy and future of the Target Novels as Graeme Burk talks first with fans Jon Arnold and Christopher Bryant, and then with author Jenny Colgan, who wrote the recent adapation of The Christmas Invasion. We then look back to when Doctor Who broke bad and lost its arms, its legs, it's everything as Doctor Who writer Andrew Smith brings Nightmare of Eden to the Gallery of the Underrated. And Joy Piedmont talks to Sage Young, Petra Mayer and Michelle Tidmore about Doctor Who actors and the appeal they have that bring fans to conventions and the stage door. Plus Bruce and Darren travel to a parallel dimension to get a shelf with uniform DVD and blu-ray spines...but at what cost? Listen now!

Metebelis 2 #75 - She's Sonic Screwdriver Ready
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2The second Paul McGann Big Finish story, "Sword of Orion", is the focus of this week's podcast. Ben and David examine this early Nick Briggs story in both its presentations: the aforementioned 2001 Big Finish production and the earlier Audio Visuals production featuring Briggs, himself as the Doctor. What happens when "Aliens" is mixed with "The Long Good Friday" and seasoned with a liberal dose of Cyber history and callbacks? How does the introduction of a companion, Charley Pollard, impact the original script? Thoughts on these questions and more in this week's episode. Opening and closing music from the "Sword of Orion" Big Finish soundtrack, composed by Nick Briggs.

Episode 268 - Reconstruction of the Fables
Traveling the Vortex
In this week’s show we dip our collective toes in the waters of what is often called a reconstructed or ‘recon’ story in Doctor Who. We examine the First Doctor story, The Crusade, featuring Ian, Barbara and Vicki. We give our impressions on the television story, including the two missing episodes, lovingly reconstructed with the use of telesnaps and scrolling text by the group, Loose Canon. And, we couple that with a review of the novelization, Doctor Who and the Crusaders, written by David Whitaker, who also wrote the TV story.Plus, some announcements and a look at the news-of-the-week.
And, of course, your feedback.
Enjoy!

Doctor Who: The Two Doctors by Robert Holmes
Doctor Who: Whos On TargetWelcome to Whos On Target - the podcast where we discuss the Target range of classic Dr Who books from the 1970s and 80s. If you missed Dr Who on TV in those pre-DVD days - you missed it forever! Unless, of course, you bought the Target novelization. So jump aboard the TARDIS, set the time rotor for late 20th century Earth, and join us as, with a wheezing, groaning sound, we discuss, analyse and reminisce Whos On Target.

Untempered Schism Podcast #179 : The Time of Angels, Flesh and Stone
The Untempered Schism PodcastIt’s the second time (at least in a TV story) that the Doctor has encountered the Weeping Angels, as well as the second time (also at least on TV) that he’s met his wife (though he doesn’t know that yet). It’s the first time that Amy’s met her daughter (though she doesn’t know that yet), and who knows how many times River has met the Doctor or Amy by now. The one thing that this story leaves us asking once it’s all done is; does a church that’s been militarized have access to a Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch?
