Podcastica Episode 354: Prisoners of Time Ch 1-4 OR LA Water and Power Can't Stop Us!
PodcasticaWell, here's something new, friends! We're reviewing a comic book Doctor Who story! Well, stories would be more accurate because Prisoners of Time was originally a year-long 12 issue miniseries from IDW to celebrate Doctor Who's 50th anniversary. We read the first four issues (chapters) and talked about what we liked and didn't like.

TDP 1398: #Doctorwho Doctor Who: Halloween: Sea Smoke and Other Stories REVIEW
Tin Dog PodcastDare you step into the shadows? Terror awaits across time and space. Silent assassins, primordial evils and horrors that defy imagination – the Doctor’s universe has never been more terrifying. 1. Sea Smoke by Jonathan Sims - A First Doctor and Dodo adventure The First Doctor and Dodo arrive on the Scottish isle of Ulfsay during the height of the 19th-century boom in kelp burning. They quickly realise something is wrong as the smoke from the latest batch of 'kelp' begins to cause horrific transformations on the island. 2. Party Favours by Georgia Cook - A Kate Stewart and Osgood adventure All Bev wants to do is host her yearly Halloween party and heal her fractured relationship with her girlfriend, Annika. Unfortunately, her reclusive upstairs neighbours have been invited to the festivities, and all they want to do is feast. 3. Bramble King by Noga Flaishon - An Eighth Doctor and Audacity adventure The Doctor and Audacity encounter a strange vision which leads them to Walpurgis-9, a cargo ship drifting powerless through space. In their attempt to assist the ship's crew, they become entangled in their secrets and encounter the malevolent entity known as 'The Bramble King'. 4. Merlin's Trap by Hannah Kennedy - A Twelfth Doctor adventure When Lainey leads an expedition into the ancient Merlin’s Cave System, the group is warned by Merlin's ghostly voice to explore no further. As Lainey and her team push deeper into the mysterious cave, they encounter things far beyond their comprehension, including Merlin himself. **THIS TITLE IS NOW OUT OF STOCK ON CD**

Radio Free Skaro #1041 - Staircase to Heaven
Radio Free SkaroThe War Between the Land and the Sea is premiering Sunday, December 7! But the real highlight is a descent into 2009 with the second part of our re-examination of Torchwood: Children of Earth!

Episode 1002 – Smile
Who NewThe Doctor and Bill visit a planet with a brand new human colony but no people. Only friendly, willing-to-please robots. This will not end well.
Join us as we discuss Doctor Who Episode 1002 – Smile
It’s time for Bill’s first official trip in the Tardis. The Doctor asks, “Past or Future?” Bill wants to see the future in the hopes that it’s happy. Off they go to an Earth colony that has cracked the mystery of perpetual happiness. But the planet doesn’t have any people, only micro-robots and interface-devices with happy emoji faces.
Bill and The Doctor wonder what happened to everyone, while the interface-devices make sure that they are happy in every way. The Doctor starts to become suspicious when the devices don’t seem to react well when Bill or he aren’t happy. Soon, they realize that can’t have emotions other than happiness. It makes the devices angry. You wouldn’t like them when they’re angry.

Gin & TARDIS #10 – Day of the Daleks
The Doctor Who ShowJoin Dave from the Doctor Who Show, Rob from 42 to Doomsday, and Richard from Spacefall: A Blakes 7 Podcast, after knocking back a few gin and tonics at Dave’s place and watching Day of the Daleks.
Day of the Daleks is the first serial of the ninth season of Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in four weekly parts from 1 to 22 January 1972. It was the first of four Third Doctor serials to feature the Daleks, which returned to the series for the first time since The Evil of the Daleks (1967).
The Doctor and UNIT investigate the attempted assassination of British diplomat Sir Reginald Styles, whose attacker apparently disappeared into thin air.
And yes, there’s a musical number at the end 😉

Radio Free Skaro #1040 - Scotland 1965
Radio Free SkaroThe Three Who Rule take on the big questions this week, including whether or not to call the Sea Devils "Homo Aqua," possible BBC broadcast plans for The War Between the Land and the Sea, the existence of 4K 35mm transfers of telecined old TV shows, and most importantly the spreading media virus known as the Spiral Staircase, which has driven Steven further around the bend than usual! Plus Tubi intrigue regarding the status of Classic Doctor Who, Doctor Who Magazine issuing massive pieces about Carole Ann Ford and Terry Nation, and most importantly, the first of our five-part re-evaluation of Torchwood: Children of Earth!
