We have been on a long journey in our look at the world of the 10th Doctor, but before we leave this era we have diverted up a little side street to take a look at some of the novels featuring the 10th Doctor and his various companions.  As well as an extensive television history to enjoy, the books provide further enjoyment for those looking for more adventures featuring this most human of Doctors.

It’s a little funny when you come up with the idea of a live show you think it’s the coolest thing in the world. Then when all hell breaks loose, you have technical difficulties and things don’t go exactly as you envisioned (see alcohol and podcasting don’t mix) it turns into a funny, weird experience.

Armageddonpalooza 2012 was envisioned as a big party to ring out the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, celebrate another doomsday prophecy that failed and just have fun with some of our favorite guests.

This show did not disappoint. We had a cast of thousands (thanks to performer Joe Bev) who talked about a variety of subjects including but not limited to:

The End of the World Theories, The Mayan Prophecy, Doctor Geek’s Laboratory, Joe Bev’s projects including Comedy-O-Rama, Favorite Disaster Flicks, The Hobbit, a preview of the Doctor Who Christmas Special, Doomsday Prepping, the Year in Who and much, much more.

Plus, you have to stay to the end to hear how pitifully drunk JC got. Let’s all laugh at his stupidity and take it as a lesson that drinking and podcasting is dangerous.

Welcome to this year's Chrstmas Staff Party. As usual it's been done in conjunction with Staggering Stories.  However, no more Mr. Dalek! Nope, we've decided to do something we've been meaning to do for 21 years! Way back when, the fanzine Star Beggotton had a one off piece, The Secret Log Of Jean Luc Picard. I enjoed it so much that I asked it's authors, Tim Munro and Nick Cooper, to write more for my own 'zine, Private Lives.

Welp, it was a good run folks. I mean, we have a hard enough time making podcasts in a non-post-apocalyptic world! After today, fending off constant mutant attacks and protecting our fuel stash will probably leave very little time to record chats about the Doctor’s top ten hats or whatever. Still, we will not go gentle into the night (a reference which far exceeds this podcast’s grasp), so here’s one last hurrah about Doctor Who episodes wherein the world(s) are in a similar end-y sort of predicament. Matt also introduces a new quiz segment. No ancient civilization could have predicted that! Now, from all of us here at the Arrow of Time, I say good luck and farewell.

It's time for episode 39 of The Oncoming Storm, and it's an uphill battle for your hosts Josh and Ashley. There was bad internet connections, horrible call quality, and non recording computers, but never fear! Your hosts fought tooth and nail to bring you another excellent discussion (though they do apologise for the state the episode is in). Nevertheless, The topic this week is Mike Tucker's Dust Breeding, a fine example on what a surprise reveal can do for a story. Trust us kids, you want to make sure you've listened to the story before you listen to this one. The surprise is discussed in detail, and Ashley is smarter then all of us by not being surprised at all! Also discussed, more accents from Big Finish, mishandled performances, and the news for December 2012. The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got... well, that would be telling wouldn't it?

I’m back!

Ken Deep has always been one of my favorite podcasters and it was an utter delight to have him as a guest on the show. We may have missed getting this episode out for the 49th anniversary of Doctor Who, but it’s never too late to shower some love on our favorite show. Ken and I spend a lot of time doing just that as well as opining on the exciting year that we hope Moffat has planned for us. Is “The Five Doctors” a good template for what we can expect this year? No one knows but the production team. But you can listen to the episode and find out what we think.
