Come with us on a journey of fake moons, rundown attractions, and Cybermen who upgrade themselves more often than Facebook! We are joined again by Dave and excitedly babble our way through “Nightmare in Silver,” the penultimate episode of episode 7B. Oh, and Warwick Davis is sparkly.

As we approach The Name of the Doctor, we look back to The Bells of Saint John. Enshrined here are our opinions as they were immediately after watching the episode, all the excitement & eagerness for a couple of months of our favourite show.

Our review of “Nightmare in Silver” in which we earn our explicit tag.

Even after recording and listening back to this episode I’m not quite sure we really know how we felt overall about Neil Gaiman’s second Doctor Who script. We do have pretty strong and clear feelings about some of the elements though and listeners with sensitive ears should be cautious. We also spend a good amount of time talking about our excitement for “The Name of the Doctor.” Listen for the cloister bell and you’ll know where to turn off if you don’t want to be spoiled.

Time to put away all the velvet, and pull out our multicoloured scarves & jelly babies! It's 4th Doctor time on episode 59 of The Oncoming Storm! This week, Josh and Ashley  start by tackling the 4th issue of Prisoners of Time, with a little help from returning guest Jeff Polier. It features the 4th Doctor and Leela as they face... the Judoon?!? They will let you know how this first time meeting of a new series monster and a classic Doctor works out! After that, it's The Roots of Evil by Philip Reeve. This latest ebook has the 4th Doctor & Leela fight against a homicidal space tree. One of these stories faithfully recreates the Tom Baker era to a fault. The other has Leela using contractions. Guess which one the guys like? The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got goosing crystalline entities who will whisper sweet nothings in your ear. At least, that's what it looks like to us. 

Kids! Gosh do we love the little scamps....most of the time....In this episode we discuss our stance on spoilers, boxset gate (as I am calling it and we discuss Nightmare in Silver.  Want to know what we think?  Then I guess you better listen!  Thanks and enjoy!

Additional notes: Guest star Warwick Davis has been in more SF films than you can shake a light sabre at. But we chose to name this episode after a Ricky Gervais mockumentary he starred in. It isn’t very funny. At one point, he gets stuck in a dog flap.

The day has nearly arrived - the DOCTOR WHO Series 7b Finale, where we learn "The Name of the Doctor" AND all about Clara's deal.

SO, it's time to speculate, theorize, hypothesize, guess, and finally throw our hands up in exasperation but also exultation at the mysteries Steven Moffat have devised.

John has a good solid theory, one even Will thinks is more likely to be true. Will has a more fanciful and longer term one (includes 50th WAG).

Includes discussion of "She Said, He Said", the prologue to the finale as well as bringing in clues from the various trailers for the episode, information from the Doctor Who novels (we BOTH mine that for theory support), and even hints and tidbits from the Moff, Matt, Jenna, et al!
