We're back to talking Doctors this week, but perhaps not in the way you expected. Join Erika, Kat, Liz, and Tansy as we discuss those actors who played the Doctor non-canonically! *gasp* Yes, there are plenty of performances out there that don't fall under the umbrella of what went out on BBC1. More than some of us realized! Certainly more than some of us cared about.

As you may have noticed, we're sans Deb this week. With no one (but the hapless Erika) to reign in the troops, see just how far things go off the rails. (Actually, we remain pretty much on track until near the very end.)

(And despite the title of this episode, I'm afraid we don't actually dip back into the Virgin New Adventures and talk about that shadowy figure from Gallifrey's ancient past who may or may not have some direct connection to the Doctor. In this episode Phil & Paul return to the world of Big Finish with a look at the 5th Doctor and Peri story Red Dawn.  What do they think of this 13 year old story that was not widely regarded by certain quarters of fandom?  You may be surprised at their reaction but it makes Phil find time to make comparisions with Prometheus and gets bogged down in continuity while Paul just shakes his head.

And in the news this week (which we should really call the "olds") they catch up on news items they have missed out on the last couple of weeks such as Christopher Ecclestones message for the 9th Doctor BFI event, some DVD news and a bumper edition of Omega's Tat Corner!!

This week we take a look at this first story of the Key to Time series, the first Romana story, as we continue on our road trip to the 50th Anniversary. Come sample this Fourth Doctor dish with us.

Just one day late, we bring you August's episode, our recap and discussion of Trevor Baxendale's Fear of the Dark, featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan, and a bunch of miners. From the back cover:
