Doctor Whooch // Episode 049 // Sweet Nightmare
Doctor WhoochIn which there's lots of singing. So. Be aware.
On the eve of our 50th episode, we head back to the very beginning of Doctor Who, watching two version of the premiere episode "An Unearthly Child", and the second episode "The Cave of Skulls". Along the way, we talk a bit of business, recount the time we were "fake Who geeks" on a panel, and comment on the literal garbage set that kicked off Doctor Who. Also, Brandon is really drunk and does a bunch of weird voices. The weirdo.

episode 134 - Hawaiian Shirts and Mini Skirts
MarkWHO42 - The Doctor Who PodcastFrom 1980-1989, Doctor Who was produced by one man who was instrumental in making it an internationally renowned show. John Nathan-Turner may have been the reason the show didn't end when Tom Baker, the ultimate Doctor left and was in a love/hate relationship with fans just like Steven Moffat has been recently. MarkWHO42 devotes this episode on JN-T! Join Mark Baumgarten and Christian Basel as they welcome those who knew him: Joey Reynolds, Dan Harris, Juan Sanmiguel, Charles Martin, and Mark himself, talking about the man and the myth that was JN-T, while also talking about how his legacy lives on. We even fit a discussion of Big Finish Productions, DWB, and the Netflix/Hulu news sprinkled within the featured dialog. Plus Joey shares clips of interviews with Wendy Padbury (Zoe), Nicholas Courtney (the Brigadier), Janet Fielding (Tegan), and Sophie Aldred (Ace) as they talk about John's life and funeral back in 2002. MarkWHO42! More fun than wearing only Hawaiian shirts!

The Time Meddler OR Head Bashings All Around!
PodcasticaJohn and Taylor are back to talk all about the William Hartnell serial "The Time Meddlers". Before they get to that, our duo must unfortunately talk about all the WHO NEWS that has bummed them out over the past two weeks. They talk about Steven Moffat's departure, no new Doctor Who episodes until Christmas of 2016, and Doctor Who being removed from ALL streaming services. After they get the sadness out of the way, they move on to this week's episode! They talk about first impression of the First Doctor, how monologues were used to move the plot along, the proper handling of neutron bombs, and The Monk! All this, and some fun announcements!
