We take a three step approach this time, looking at the Target novelization, the remastered and released reconstruction surrounding the recently recovered third episode, and a reconstruction made using the available images and audio by Loose Cannon Productions.

We also look at some news of the week, including new app for IOS users from Big Finish, and the announcement of the 12th Doctor’s new sonic screwdriver being released as a toy.

It's on collision course! Take EVASIVE ACTION!!! The punchiness comes in as this High Council team drives towards talking over Episode 6. Is it possible that it hasn't been Toby Hadoke this whole time, and it is really David Agnew? Andrew's presence in Greenland caused some issues with this episode, but Gangsters returns to help us through these tough parts. Is this episode also put together from the archives? Is it possible to have CSO in B&W? I don't think so. Please enjoy this episode that ended up wrought with serious recording problems and play close attention to Carrington's mustache till next week.

And as this is also Frank Cottrell Boyce's 2nd contribution to Doctor Who, do the lads think this is an improvement on In The Forest of The Night? And in a very quiet news week, episode 4 is getting a special 3D audio experience on the BBC iPlayer which leads Phil to try and explain binaural sound (he fails). And we also continue with our new feature, Omega's Stats Corner!

Late, as usual, but it will be worth it this week, as Keith and Shaun have returned and are refreshed from this year’s BritishFest in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The two will regale you with their adventures and experiences and share stories about their panel with actor Simon Fisher-Becker, the man who plays Dorium Maldovar in Doctor Who.

Should the BBC give up on popular commercial programming like, oh, I don't know, Doctor Who? A "green paper" to be released today reportedly calls for reconsidering the British Broadcasting Corporation's purpose, while the government plans to force the BBC to dig deep into its own pockets to fund license fees for citizens over 75.

Is this the darkest timeline? 2MTL gets a little uncharacteristically political as I talk with friend of the show Toby Hadoke about what's behind these moves and whether Strictly and Sherlock and our favorite television show might be at risk.
