Episode 18: Middle Destiny
Stories From The Vortex: A Doctor Who Audio Adventures Podcast
This episode finds Matthew Kresal and Mary Lang returning to the Destiny Of The Doctor series, co-produced by Big Finish with AudioGo as part of the show's fiftieth anniversary, to review the middle four stories from it covering the fifth through eighth Doctors. Topics discussed include the quality of each of story's respective reader, how each story represents each Doctor's era (perhaps too much so) and perhaps the biggest disagreement yet on the podcast in regards to the eighth Doctor story Enemy Aliens.
You can find the podcast via our website storiesfromthevortex.blogspot.com or on iTunes. If you'd like to send in feedback to the podcast you can do so at feedback.vortex@yahoo.com and you can join the podcasts's Facebook group. We're a proud member of the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance.
Stories From The Vortex is an unofficial and unlicensed Doctor Who podcast and is not affiliated to the British Broadcasting Company (BBC), AudioGo or Big Finish Productions in any way. Doctor Who is a registered trademark of the BBC. No copyright infringement intended.

The Oncoming Storm Ep 112: BF # 46 - It Doesn't Matter If It's Black or White
The Oncoming StormOooooohhhhh, we are horrible, sniveling podcaster things, who must suffer at the hands of our listeners. Each week, we are treated worse and worse, as the hate crimes against podcasters increase. If you were kind and honorable listeners, you would certainly take the time to listen to episode 112 of The Oncoming Storm, wherein we talk about Flip Flop by one Jonathan Morris. Do you want to perform hate crimes against us? That's what you are doing by not listening to your miserable, ugly hosts Josh, Ashley, Sacha, and Rachel discuss Slithergees, predestination paradoxes, and the sex lives of presidents. We even pander to your base desires and talk about "The Doctor", although it probably makes no difference to you. Take pity upon us, RIGHT NOW, and listen to our humble thoughts... then listen to all 112 episodes again. Just to show you aren't as horrible as us.
The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got two of everybody. That certainly won't get confusing.

The TARDIS TavernWe awaken from our short visit in purgatory in the nursing embrace of Andre Tessier of L.I. Who. Sean and Steve are off the island and in the safety of civilization, but will they survive the emergency room and the D.T’s without a drop of alcohol in sight?
To keep our minds at ease, we discuss the epic Sixth Doctor and Peri story “Mindwarp”, as you do. Is it Syltastic? Or a disgrace to 1980’s “Doctor Who”? Grab some marsh minnows to munch on and listen in.

We Talk Leaked Doctor Who Series 8 Scripts & Episodes!
Kasterborous PodkastChristian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
In light of the recent leaked Doctor Who Series 8 episodes & scripts storm, Christian Cawley, James McLean and Brian A Terranova are here with another podKast in which we cover the shock leak and the impact of spoilers over the next few weeks.
This leak is serious stuff. Some Facebook pages and websites are taking the spoilers to heart, sharing them with unsuspecting readers – completely unnecessary, you might think, but of course their aim is to increase hits and popularity. It might prove to be a double-edged sword for some.
Remember, these are real spoilers, plot points, dialogue and twists. We’re not talking about surprise casting or photos here, we’re talking about the actual storylines from five Series 8 episodes.
Also on the agenda today, the latest Doctor Who Series 8 trailer and we have a chat about Brian’s collection of police box photos.
Hit play!

The Ood Cast S06E01 - The Day of the Ood Cast
The Ood Cast“I punched the air in delight!”
“No, that was my face.”
In which we make noises like guinea pigs, create a surprising new French dessert, decorate a cake in an unorthodox way and thwart some evil doppelgangers.
Reviews: Day of the Doctor
Air Date: 23rd November 2013
Additional notes: This episode was recorded in January 2014 which is an embarrassingly long time after the anniversary episode aired. However we didn’t publish the podcast until July 2014 so the whole January thing isn’t looking so bad now, is it?

Episode 24: This Series is Built on Incompetent Guards
Trust Your DoctorThis week’s serial was far superior to last week’s.
Kiyan and Dylan watch The Ark this week, a serial that renewed their hopes for the future of Doctor Who after The Massacre of St. Bartholomew’s Eve. It was aired in March of 1966 and was written by Paul Erickson and Lesley Scott. This episode also features discussions on the relationship between this episode and some of the reboot, so very minor spoilers for 9th and 10th doctor episodes here.
