Turns out, a bigger role than some (or at least one) of us expected. How do we feel about the Doctor getting involved? That seems to depend largely on context.

A clickbait headline hurtles toward Ye Olde Compare-and-Contrast between the promised grim-'n'-gritty Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the widely inferred darkness of the Twelfth Doctor.

In this week’s show, we head back to France in the 1600′s for the Big Finish audio play The Church and the Crown. This one features The Fifth Doctor, Peri and Erimem. We share our impressions on this historical depiction of the King, the Cardinal and the famous Musketeers.

But first, the new lines of Doctor Who comics launched last week, and we have copies of The Tenth and Eleventh Doctors’ stories. We review the Titan relaunch to the series as well, featuring new companions for brand new adventures.

In this weeks show it's part two of the lads commentary for Castrovalva, episodes 3 and 4.  Yes, as this was recorded last week, the trio bravely continue in the sweltering London heat, drinking wine and talking nonsense as usual.  However, it appears that the heat gets to Phil as he completely misses the point of the Shardovan and becomes attached to a Scotsman.

And in a hastily inserted news section, another series 8 trailer, Philip Morris and the ongoing talk of missing episodes, news on the Deep Breath DVD release in North America, the enormous DVD/Blu-ray 50th Anniversary boxset and the DWAS honour Verity Lambert.

With San Diego Comic Con’s annual media megashow winding down, Radio Free Skaro brought in a Special Report from Nerdist editor and all around fine fellow Kyle Anderson as our man on the scene to let us know about the Big! Who! News! almost live from the source. Well, it turns out there hasn’t been very much news to speak of Who-wise, with the BBC likely focusing their energies on launching their world tour, and….showing us a new 15 second trailer. And……showing the premiere in cinemas worldwide! Holy cats! Despite the dearth of SDCC news, rest assured our list is chockablock full of items of interest, and as if that weren’t enough, we also have the last Fluid Links for quite some time! Madness!
