Episode 279 - UNIT Dating Controversy - Solved?
Traveling the Vortex
In this week’s show we tackle a subject that has sometimes caused great divides in Doctor Who fandom. A controversy so big, that some have chosen to sideline the debate altogether, just to avoid it. However, some cleaver writing has, perhaps solved the issue for good. We discuss the issue with a special guest, and continuity fix-it-man, Andy Frankham-Allen. He’s an author and the deputy editor of the Lethbridge-Stewart series at Candy Jar Books. We’ll also review three short stories from Candy Jar, Lethbridge-Stewart: In His Kiss by Sue Hampton, Lethbridge-Stewart: The Black Eggs of Khufu by Tom Dexter, and Lethbridge-Stewart The Enfolded Time by Andy Frankham-Allen
Plus we address the news of the week.
And, of course, feedback.
Enjoy!

RRR193 Stranger Things (2017)
Roy's Rocket RadioWe, or rather I, just think of it as the royal "we", because I'm still doing this whole damn dog and pony show on me tod, not that I'm grumpy about it or anything you understand, talk about season 2 of Stranger Things (2017) and its microcosm of 80s goodness. Goodness? Please! I was an 80s teen and, granted some of the movies and video games were great, but everything else was crap. Yuppies, greed, Thatcher, Loadsa, the Falklands, and we didn't even have the sodding internet.

MUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast 142 - New Cast Announcement
Mutter's Spiral PodcastMUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast is BACK! After a 3 month hiatus, John and I are back to discuss the announcement of the new "TARDIS Team" - NOT COMPANIONS, MIND YOU - made by the BBC earlier this month. We'll discuss what we know about each of the actors joining the cast, either in full-time roles (Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill, Tosin Cole) or in a 'returning' role (Sharon D. Clarke). We'll talk about the notable absence of the word "companion" from the press release and speculate on what this might mean (if anything).
We'll also discuss our recent guest appearance on the GALLIFREY PUBLIC RADIO podcast to discuss the Pertwee classic "The Time Monster" and also preview upcoming podcasts, mostly focusing on the upcoming LI Who 5 convention.
We are excited to be back, so won't you please join us? Thanks!

About His Manpain
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastThis week, we basically stand around gloomily watching a fish drown until Todd cheers us up with some surprisingly athletic backflips. It’s The Doctor’s Daughter.
Notes and links
During the recording of our episode on 42 last year (Episode 170: I Believe Beryl Reid as a Freighter Captain), Brendan and Todd enter an unholy pact to reunite on this week’s episode to redeem The Doctor’s Daughter. With the most terrible consequences.
A few days before we recorded this episode, Chris Chibnall was interviewed in the Radio Times, saying that he would love one day to bring back some of the show’s earlier companions, like Amy, Rory, Ace and Tegan.
Over on Brendan’s YouTube channel, he is — among other things — reviewing each episode of Series 1 exactly 15 years after its first broadcast. Please like and subscribe, of course, and send him your takes on the episodes of the Eccleston Era.
Follow us
Nathan is on Twitter as @nathanbottomley, Brendan is @brandybongos, and Todd is @toddbeilby. The Flight Through Entirety theme was arranged by Cameron Lam, and the strings performance was by Jane Aubourg. You can follow the podcast on Twitter at @FTEpodcast.
We’re also on Facebook, and you can check out our website at flightthroughentirety.com. Please consider rating or reviewing us on iTunes, or we’ll give you three delightfully unexpected weeks of work, during which you’ll mostly be required to flail around in mud.
And more
You can find Jodie into Terror, our flashcast on the Whittaker Era of Doctor Who, at jodieintoterror.com, at @JodieIntoTerror on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and wherever podcasts can be found.
Our James Bond commentary podcast is called Bondfinger, and you can find that at bondfinger.com, at @bondfingercast on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else as well. Our Honor Blackman retrospective will be continuing soon.
