Take a Deep Breath, because series 8 is finally here! In this episode, we discuss Twelve's post-regeneration behavior, Clara's character development, the MYSTERY WOMAN, and much, much more!

The insanity of this serial is somewhat interesting, supposedly.

This week Kiyan and Dylan return with the first serial of the second doctor, The Power of the Daleks, also featuring the return of the Daleks. It was written by David Whitaker and it aired in November and December of 1966.

After months of waiting, feverish panic, speculation, madness, leaked scripts, world tours and other such lunacy, the first episode of Doctor Who, Series 8, titled “Deep Breath”, is upon us. You know what that means? Stats! So, so many stats. And, to a lesser extent, the opinions of Steven, Warren and Chris regarding Peter Capaldi’s debut episode and right-turn portrayal of everyone’s favourite Time Lord. Of course there was other news to ruminate upon, but…who are we kidding here, you want the “Deep Breath” goodness. And you shall have it! Tally-ho!

And exhale. It's finally here. Series 8 has begun andwe have seen the new Doctor in action. "Deep Breath" takes us to Victorian London and the Paternoster Gang. It takes the Doctor to a rather interesting pst-regeneration. Scottish? Eyebrows? And a...giant T-Rex?? Hang on, folks. This one's gonna be a whopper!

Our heroes took a break from their bizarre journey through time and space to spend some quiet, safe time in Austin, Texas, where they were invited to attend a “live” viewing of “Deep Breath” via the local Doctor Who meetup group.

It is therefore with great pleasure that we present our short discussion of “Deep Breath” in front of a “live studio audience”.  (Apologies for the slightly sucky audio quality; we were unable to control some of the dynamics in this enormous room.)

Peter Capaldi delivers. Of that, there was no doubt. What else does "Deep Breath" have going for it, and does it measure up to Steven Moffat's first crack at introducing a Doctor?

My review of the series 8 debut Doctor Who: Deep Breath which I saw at the cinema, we had a guest Dalek in the foyer and were treated to three extras a potted guide to regeneration by Strax, Dr Who Extra which also aired on the red button and a Q&A with Stephen Moffat, Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman which revealed Capaldi wants the Mondas Cybermen to return and Moffat doesn't seem as keen on the idea.
