FRS 25: 'Spearhead from Space ' Part Two. Jon Pertwee
Fast Return SwitchWurzel puts his Spear head on once again as we unleash part two of the Pertwee classic. I wasn’t sure why I couldn’t remember the end of this story that clearly. Turns out I fell asleep! Rum was a bad choice. You need not fear though as Masters Fanton, Munro and Weston do a fine job of keeping things entertaining in my unfortunate and slightly embarrassing absence. When will I learn? Probably never.
Love ya!

019 Doctor Who (The Space Pirates)
theTimeVaultHow come metal wigs never took off as a fashion accessory? They're shiny, long lasting (barring rust), work brilliantly as a hard hat, available in different styles (the one being modelled here is in a rather attractive beehive with parting) and you can decorate them yourself. Okay, you'll never be able to look down without falling over and fridge magnets will suddenly become a nuisance but that's not many downsides.

Episode 11: Alien Bodies
The Doctor Who Book Club PodcastFor November, 2011, Erik has chosen the epic Alien Bodies by Lawrence Miles. Few books have such a brilliant reputation than this one, so we're looking forward to next month's recording. From the back cover:
On an island in the East Indies, in a lost city buried deep in the heart of the rainforest, agents of the most formidable powers in the galaxy are gathering. They have been invited there to bid for what could turn out to be the deadliest weapon ever created.
When the Doctor and Sam arrive in the city, the Time Lord soon realises they've walked into the middle of the strangest auction in history — and what's on sale to the highest bidder is something more horrifying than even the Doctor could have imagined, something that could change his life forever.
And just when it seems things can't get any worse, the Doctor finds out who else is on the guest list.
Alien Bodies is a milestone in the Eighth Doctor series because it introduces us to Faction Paradox, who became important later in the series. And this is just our opinion, but ten will get you twenty that Steven Moffat has been inspired by this one.
Lawrence Miles also penned the Interference books for the BBC New Adventures and Christmas on a Rational Planet for the Virgin New Adventures, among others. He has an infamous reputation in the fan community for being critical of the current series, but we really hope he doesn't burn any of his bridges: Alien Bodies could easily be an Eleventh Doctor story, and it could easily become the next Human Nature and find a slot in the series.
Please come and join us on Facebook follow us on twitter via @dwbcpodcast. You can also follow Erik via @sjcaustenite and Sean via @tardistavern.

The DWP Tribute to Elisabeth Sladen
The Doctor Who PodcastIn April this year a great loss occurred in the Doctor Who community with the death of Elisabeth Sladen, perhaps better known as Sarah Jane Smith, companion to the Third and Fourth Doctors.
It was a loss so sudden, so unexpected, and revealed what a private person Elisabeth was. It is only now courtesy of her autobiography we are finding out more about this extraordinary woman.
The DWP Team pay tribute to Lis by talking about her time on Doctor Who, her work in the Sarah Jane Adventures, her foray into the world of Big Finish and other spin off media.
Spend some time with Sarah Jane this week.

Pharos Project 77: Scruffy Looking Nerf Herder
The Pharos Project PodcastThis week, we take the TARDIS back to 1977. In the first of three Star Wars episodes, the Projecteers are joined by Other Chris from The Eleventh Hour Podcast as they examine the original Star Wars Trilogy. May the force be with you........ always.
The audio quality isn't up to our usual standard, as it was recorded using Mr Chris' computer and on a version of Garageband seemingly written in 1977. Also, it's a bit long this week. We ramble on for our normal length, but the extra time is given over to audio contributions from other podcasters and our listener.

Episode 48 - Exaggerated Caricatures
Traveling the VortexIn this week’s show we get a bit sidetracked (yeah, what else is new?) with our love of Christmas time and the Muppets so, please indulge us.
Also in this cast, a look at more Tenth Doctor goodness with a review of The Doctor’s Daughter and The Unicorn and the Wasp. WARNING: Debate gets a little heated and the volume levels may increase slightly for parts of the show.
Also, we talk a little about this weekend’s Chicago TARDIS convention, and of course, your feedback.
Enjoy!

Radio Free Skaro #282 - My Kind Of Town
Radio Free SkaroWith Steven special corresponding from Chicago TARDIS, and with The Doctor Who Book Club's Erik joining the Three Who Rule to offer his trenchant insights on fannish Who goings-on, this episode is chock full of things in the American Mid-West that involve a Doctor Who convention. Such things include an interview with Peter Davison, an RFS first, even if he's Doctor the Fifth. Of course it wouldn't be an episode of Radio Free Skaro without the usual news, sardonic analysis and nerdery. Enjoy!
