FATHER’S DAY

Alicia and Isabella make short cameo appearances at the beginning of this week’s show with Alicia helping out with the eBay feature. Then Ben, Kirby, Rhys and Robert overview six audio feedback messages from Mr M, Liz & Wes from The Omega Podcast, Andy Nunney, Graeme “The 2nd Doctor” Sheridan, Ian Kirk and Jim the Fish.

Siobhan Gallichan sent in a brief message and there is also written feedback from Richard Kulp. As usual, we announce this week’s Top 30 Doctor Who podcasts. News precedes our review of Paul Cornell’s ‘Father’s Day’

Next week we look at ‘The Empty Child’ and ‘The Doctor Dances’ by Ben’s favourite writer, Mr Steven Moffat.

To help us get back into the swing of things, we present to you a commentary on the 2011 Doctor Who Christmas special, The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe, as well as a smattering of news and views of what was missed while we were all living it up at Gally.

The reviewing duo of Phil and Paul press on with the next phase of their retrospective with a look at the first of the 2009 Specials, Planet Of The Dead. This is a most divisive podcast and Paul rather enjoys it and Phil detests it but all this makes Phil wax lyrical about the rich tapestry of the human race but veers dangerously close to one those awful episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation where Data explores what it's like to be human.

And in the news this week, series 7 casting news, the end of the Adventure Games and Doctor Who tat.
