Tim and Max Solve All The Problems With Popular Culture is STILL the newest podcast in the stable of winged horses that is the Geek Syndicate Network.

The podcast aims to do exactly what it says on the tin - young bucks Tim Swann (@tetrarchangel on twitter) of Psycomedia (psycomedia.wordpress.com - can this be hyperlinked?) and Max Barnard (@maxy_barnard on twitter) of You Must Hear This (imustreadthis.com - can this be hyperlinked?) identify a key area where popular geek culture falls down and then try and come up with some ways that both the creators and the audience can fix it.

In our third episode, we discuss mediocrity, hopefully without being mediocre. There's unavoidable Lucas and Spielberg chat, trying to force stuff into franchises, the problems with properties that sell no matter what, and inevitable preludes to the next episode, which will concern money. We might have been bothered to throw in some solutions, since that's what the franchise demands.

We look at news, Doctor Who’s top 30 podcasts and we review The Long Game by Russell T Davies. There is also a limited amount of feedback (hopefully that will improve by next week). After all the chaos and mayhem (and laughs) we end the show with Adam’s interview with the youngest ever writer for the classic series, Andrew Smith who wrote the series 19 tale, Full Circle. The story that introduced the contraversial character, Adric.

Tis the season to be jolly!!  Well, not really to be honest but there is a lot of snow on the ground, so it's a good time for Paul and Phil to have a look back at A Christmas Carol, the 2010 Christmas special.  Fortunately after over a year, they both still really enjoy this festive offering and Phil tries to make connections to M.R. James Christmas ghost stories and The Eagle comic while Paul insists that they try their hardest not to pick holes in the story.

Meanwhile, in the news, writers and directors are confirmed for series 7, guest news for the Doctor Who convention, some Doctor Who tat and Phil plugs other podcasts.
