Scrolls V2, Chapter 2: Off-Kilter
Geek SyndicateHello there, thanks for joining us again on our jaunt through the joyous worlds of fantasy, science fiction and horror. Who knows what we may find? (Well I do, I suppose.) Here's a quick run down -News Bites:Before any journey it's always best to fortify yourself, so we take a bit of time to chew over the latest literary events.Author's Delight:We begin with a short stroll in the company of a seasoned explorer - a chance to chat with an author about one of their all-time favourite reads. On this occasion we're joined by Adam Christopher from Angry Robot, to discuss Veronica. The Flash Fiction Challenge:Our listeners take a short dash up the creative slope each month in our writing challenge. In this segment we read out the top tales and talk about them.Night at the Round Table:The picnic blankets out and the wine has begun to flow. Must be time to take in the view, show down and indulge in a rambling discussion.Author Interview:Finally, we metaphorically hole-up in a pub, get drunk and talk to strangers until the taxi turns up. Fortunately, James Treadwell is a congenial companion, as well as a damned fine writer.Competition time:On the way home we rashly offer up not one, but two great books in a dead easy competition, because you're our Best Friend and we Love you. No, no, we really Do! (Ooh. Radio Free Skaro #376 - I'll Be In My Trailer
Radio Free SkaroSan Diego Comic Con! Over the years SDCC has become a mecca not only of pop culture, cosplay and general lunacy, but also an important platform by which Doctor Who announces mammoth events like, say...the 50th Anniversary Special Trailer. The crowds went wild in Hall H, and mere moments later, entitled fans worldwide bristled in anger, fury and impotent frustration that they were not included in the fun IMMEDIATELY. What they should have done is focused their...enthusiasm at this week's episode of RFS, which contains not only news from SDCC and elsewhere but also a commentary for The Rings of Akhaten, featuring costumer Mette Hedin and Erik Stadnik of the Doctor Who: The Writer's Room. Now that's value! Enjoy!

Feel the forces from another world
Who's He?This week Phil and Paul return to the Destiny of The Doctor audio series with a review of the seventh Doctor story Shockwave. In fact this has to be one of their shortest reviews they've ever done! This usually means one of two things - they both hated it or they both loved it!
But what takes up all their time this week? Two weeks worth of news and a chat about the Doctor Who Prom they went to last week that's what! DVD blu-ray boxsets, BBC financial reports and comments made about the 50th Anniversary Special the Moff himself. But not only that, there is a bumper edition of Omega's Tat Corner featuring cake and potato based tat!

Episode #58: "It Should've Ended Sooner"
Under The MiniscopeSarah and Andrew do a semi-commentary on Journey's End, and discuss the foibles of Davies, Rose, the infamous 2-parter, and everything. The battle of ideologies simmering for 58 episodes comes to an end in one showdown even more epic than the story we're recapping tries to be. Andrew talks a lot. Sarah talks a little. Andrew says "You know what I'm saying?" far too many times. And Sarah, methinks, begins to fall for Davies' sappy story charms... Could Journey's End's reviled end have a DEFENDER...? And perhaps the issue of Rose will be settled once and for all...
NOTE: Appologies for intermittent 'hiccups' in this and the next show; we had a few recording issues.

Attack of the Tomb of the Silver Nemesis Nightmares
Radio RassilonAttack of the Tomb of the Silver Nemesis Nightmares
It’s that time of the year when a new Rassisode plops out of the pub and into your earholes, Rassifans!
Harry and Leeson celebrate being published (if edited) authors, Iamwilliam is too busy fighting The Dark Side with Lego to take a phone call and it is far too hot for any of them to wear clothes. Except JNT and Leeson who both wore a nappy.
Did they like “the Gaiman episode”? Was it a good idea to go to the pub in the sun beforehand? And what’s going on with Leeson’s fly?
With contributions from @digspinach, @terriwestgate and Paul Carlton Brown.
You can purchase Celebrate Regenerate (50 years of Doctor Who celebrated by fans) or read a free version here:http://celebrateregenerate.weebly.com/index.html
From hot to tepid via silver nightmares and just nightmares…

Episode 91: The Sontaran Episode (With Dan Starkey!)
The TARDIS TavernWe haven't talked about Sontarans since...well, since ten episodes ago when we reviewed "The Two Doctors". But there's no time like the present again, as our roving reporter Andre Tessier has brought us an interview with Dan Starkey, the current series' lovable and bumbling Strax.
But first we travel back to the Tom Baker era: tin foil monsters, Machiavellian plots, stuffy Time Lords, and tripping over the pool chairs fantastic. That's right, this one is also about "The Invasion of Time". Why that one? Because we already know "The Sontaran Experiment" by heart.
Check us out on Facebook and email us feedback at tardistavern@gmail.com. You can also follow Sean on Twitter via @tardistavern.
