PodKast with a WriterCon!
Kasterborous PodkastHi there, Kasterborites! Welcome to this week’s exciting podKast (with a “K”) in which we cover everything from crappy PR statements that talk down to us to fielding questions for a coming chat with a Doctor Who scriptwriting prodigy…
But don’t let any of that disturb you from your baked beans and chips, your soap operas and your wooly jumpers.
Instead, we’ll leave you wishing that you too could be attending an event featuring Terrance Dicks, Philip Martin, Andrew Smith and Keith Temple, in which the guests talk about their most popular episodes, interspersed with clips and fielding questions from the adoring audience.
Yes, next Sunday is Vworp 5:Writercon, so along with our chat about the shock resignation of Caro Skinner as Doctor Who Executive Producer and the recent Series 7b press launch, we’ll be talking to Gareth Kavanagh, organiser of the event!
How will you be listening? There are three options for you to enjoy the podKast!
- Use the player in the top right of the Kasterborous home page, or visit the podKast menu link.
- Listen with the "pop out" player above, which also allows you to download the podKast to your computer.
- You can also take advantage of the RSS feed to subscribe to the podKast for your media player, and even find us on iTunes!
Incidentally, if you are listening on iTunes, please take the time to leave a rating and review and help us to bring in new listeners to the podKast! We are now offering a year’s worth of podKasts dedicated to you.
Yes, dear listener – you. What other podcast would give you that?

Episode 78: The Potpourri Episode (With Daphne Ashbrook!)
The TARDIS Tavernpot-pour-ri po-pu-‘re n [F pot pourri, lit. rotten pot] 1 : a jar of flower petals and spices used for scent 2 : a miscellaneous collection : MEDLEY
No, this isn’t the flower show episode. Rather, as promised, we give you a quick review of the video game Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock, some discussion about the upcoming second-half of Series Seven, and (we haven’t brought you one of these in a while) an interview with Daphne Ashbrook, star of the 1996 TV movie.
Special thanks to our own roving reporter Andre Tessier for interviewing Ms. Ashbrook at this year’s Gallifrey convention. (Or was it from last year? We were too drunk to tell.)
Send happy thoughts to tardistavern@gmail.com, “like” us on Facebook for free pie, and follow Sean on Twitter via @tardistavern.

GSN PODCAST: Children of the Atom - Episode 6
Geek SyndicateThis month we discuss issues 10 and 11, in which Magneto and Toad get abducted by aliens - and the X-Men aren't particularly bothered - and we see the first appearance of the Savage Land. Also, in current X-Men news, is Jean Grey shaping up to be the villain in All New X-Men? Can she resist just rearranging people's thoughts to suit her agenda? It doesn't look like it. Red Skull forces Captain American to confront modern America in Uncanny Avengers and it's pretty harsh, Emma and Scott talk through their relationship or lack thereof in Uncanny X-Men, and the world seems to have gone to hell in a handbasket in the first volume of Age of Ultron. Finally, our collection of issues 1 - 66 of the first X-Men run is still going strong and we just can't get enough of the Marvel NOW! variant edition Skottie Young covers!
