Ep 186 - A Very Different Sort of Season
Doctor Who: Verity! We have reached the end of Jodie Whittaker's first season as the Doctor. Join Deb, Erika, Lizbeth, and Tansy as we talk about the series as a whole -- the arc-or-not, the villains-or-not, the development-or-not, the consequences-or-not, and much more. We liked a lot, we questioned some of it, and as usual, we don't all agree on the details but have a delightful time breaking it down.
What are your overall thoughts on series 11? Did they play it too safe? Is the Doctor too perfect? Do you want some classic monsters next season? Let us know in the comments!

TDP 812: - #Survivors S8 From @BigFinish
Tin Dog Podcast@TinDogPodcast reviews #Survivors S8 From @BigFinish This title was released in December 2018. It will be exclusively available to buy from the BF website until January 31st 2019, and on general sale after this date. Four new battles for survival, from the world of Terry Nation's cult-classic series. The world has ended. The 'Death' pandemic crossed continents, sparing only a fraction of the global population. The survivors are now trying to pick up the pieces and rebuild society - to create a new future. But with no cities, no laws, no technology, everyone must start over. And the worst of human nature has survived along with the best... 8.1 Bandit Train by Christopher Hatherall Society is slowly rebuilding. Abby and Jenny are transporting supplies between settlements. Craig is learning how to run the steam engines on lines cleared by Greg Preston. But there are still those who just want to take. And their train is about to come under attack... 8.2 Robert by Jane Slavin Once, Robert Malcolm had a complicated life. His wife in an institution, his girlfriend running a struggling business, he was out of the army and without a place in the world. When the Death came, it meant many things to many people. For Robert, it meant freedom. 8.3 The Lost Boys by Lisa McMullin Peter Grant is alive. He is with Robert Malcolm's army of boy soldiers, learning to survive. Building a better future. But medic Ruth has her suspicions when she visits the camp. And Craig is about to find out what it takes to become a recruit. 8.4 Village of Dust by Roland Moore Abby, still desperate for the reunion she's been seeking for years, now knows that Peter is part of an army. Meanwhile, Jenny realises that someone is drawing plans against her budding Federation. A war is coming, and mother and son are on different sides. NOTE: Survivors contains adult material and is not suitable for younger listeners. Written By: Christopher Hatherall, Jane Slavin, Lisa McMullin, Roland Moore Directed By: Ken Bentley Cast Carolyn Seymour (Abby), Lucy Fleming (Jenny Richards), Helen Goldwyn (Ruth), George Watkins (Craig), Wendy Craig (Elsie / Celia / Dr Portman), Joel James Davison (Peter Grant), Hywel Morgan (Robert Malcolm), Gyuri Sarossy (Derek Gibb), Richard Popple (Kilby), Homer Todiwala (Scotty / Soldier), Susie Emmett (Twig), Jane Slavin (Julia / Mrs Brock), Vikash Bhai (Jesus), Isla Carter (Cayla Kenny), Eddie Eyre (Seth Pilkington), Katherine Rose Morley (Sonia Meadows), Susan Hingley (Jiao Li). Whocast #377- Two legged Freaks
Staffel "Arachnids in the UK" zu klammern. Auch wenn dies vermutlich nicht die sind, die uns die Show verkaufen will.

Reality Bomb - a Doctor Who podcastOn the sixty-fourth edition of Reality Bomb we're calling the world for their opinions on Series 11 of Doctor Who!
We have suspended our usual segments to present a special documentary where we talk to 50 people in 9 countries and find out how they feel about the latest season. We talk about the positives and negatives about the storytelling, the new Doctor, team TARDIS and much more as we try to determine what we have in common, where the fault lines are in the emerging world of fandom, and what we hope to see happen in the next season of Doctor Who.

Episode 230: Yippie and Company
Trust Your DoctorBring back yippie honestly. Best Character 2k11.
The biggest disappointment in this episode is that the song “Closing Time” is nowhere to be seen anywhere in this story. It’d be perfect, you know? It’d be that exact thing that Kiyan hates, kind of like that time they used “Iron Man” in the movie, Iron Man. It’s Closing Time, written by Gareth Roberts and aired on September 24, 2011.
Show-notes:
8:56 Three Men and A Baby is a 1987 movie directed by Leonard Nimoy of all people. I couldn’t find any info on whether Two and Half Men was named after or influenced by this movie.
9:32 We listened to the Spare Parts audio last year with Krynoid Podcast. It’s supposed to be the Cyberman origin story.
13:50 Both IMDB and Colin Baker’s official site(?) say that he was in Shakespeare plays.
17:50 Check out our coverage of the first 3 Rocky movies.
19:04 Alf is an anteater puppet who pretends to be an alien puppet on a televised puppet show called Alf.
31:15 Yes, lingerie refers only to women’s undergarments.
36:01 Lytton appeared in Resurrection of the Daleks and Attack of the Cybermen.
