Podcastsica Episode 258: Meglos OR Brotadac's Burgundy Dreamcoat
PodcasticaWhile trying to repair K9, The Doctor and Romana find themselves in a time loop set up by an evil cactus named Meglos who has apparently inhabited the body of poor Nigel from Accounting and has a crazy plan to pretend to be the Doctor in order to steal a geometric shape of extreme power and, you know, rule the universe or some such craziness. Can the Doctor and Romana defeat Meglos, satisfy Brotadac’s lust for a nice coat, and prevent the destruction of Tigella? Well, grab that agave and strap in because…it…must…be…MEGLOS!!

Audio 28: Theatre Theater (Redacted)
Trust Your DoctorWe all now belong to the Church of Sil.
Look, it’s a podcast about old doctor who characters coming back and appearing in the most random way possible. How can you not expect that Sil would make an appearance? He’s basically the greatest character that’s ever graced our television screens. And I mean that most sincerely. It’s Redacted, written by Juno Dawson, Catherine Brinkworth, Ella Watts, Sasha Sienna, Ken Cheng, Àjoké Ibironke, Doris Sutherland, and David Barnes, and released between April 12 and June 19, 2022.
Show-notes:
6:24: If you want to listen to Redacted yourself without pirating it, you can listen on BBC Sounds.
10:25: Remember this statement about shots, because Kiyan’s going to forget he said it. (Editor’s note: I don’t know what this means.)
10:58: The Blue Box Podcast is a podcast about Doctor Who.
11:42: I did it anyway.
14:14: Partners in Crime. The name of the episode was Partners in Crime.
19:50: I’m not even going to bother trying to find this thread because I won’t be able to.
23:00: Don’t worry, the TARDIS wiki has an extensive page on Clive Finch.
26:27: The disappearing hospital was seen in Smith and Jones.
29:14: I feel like most of the links in these show-notes are going to be TARDIS wiki links, but anyway, here’s Oliver Morgenstern. I was also mildly wrong, the actor for Oliver also did not return for this audio.
36:40: The Larry Nightingale “ARG” is pretty wild all things considered.
37:20: “Ergodic literature” refers to texts that take effort on the part of the reader to engage with.
47:09: Let’s all remember The Zygon Invasion/Inversion thanks to the TARDIS wiki.
50:55: Remember what I told you to remember earlier?
58:36: IF you want to hear us talk about Firefly for some reason, check out Inevitable: A Classic Sci-Fi Podcast, our classic sci-fi podcast, where we covered that show last year (i.e. 2021).
1:00:40: Also check out Zenith: A Blake’s 7 Podcast, our Blake’s 7 podcast, cause why not?
1:07:40: List of Sil’s Appearances. There are far too many of these if you ask me.
1:10:00: I would normally cut sneezes out but the Sil spinoff necessitated leaving Kiyan’s blessings of us all in the recording.
1:21:10: SILOET (the SHADO reference) is actually an alleged evolution of UNIT later in the Doctor Who timeline. Also lmao at Dylan’s pronunciation here. It’s “silhouette” lol.
1:28:06: Kick some ass, get the girl, and try to look dope while you do it.
1:07:40: Charlie Craggs actually does have an IMDB page. Though there’s nothing on it besides this as of this writing.

Episode 34 - Planet of Evil (with Simon Hart)
Doctor Who LiteratureBack for a record-setting fourth appearance on Doctor Who Literature this week is Simon Hart (@Si_Hart). We both break down the TV version of "Planet of Evil" -- is this one of Doctor Who's most successful hours? How does the dialogue and plot logic measure up to the many other jewels in the Philip Hinchcliffe era crown? Then we get to the book -- is Terrance Dicks able to work his usual magic on a script that he seems to find less enjoyable than many others he's adapted in the past?
Si also tries to defend his crown as all-time DWL "20 Questions" champion. Can he break his own record this week?
Later on, Jason walks us through the text of the book and gets the impression that Terrance is rolling his eyes at the story a little more than usual.
Please e-mail the pod at DrWhoLiterature@gmail.com.

Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthIT'S OUR first dive into the world of Stranded, the most recent series of box sets from Big Finish, in which the Doctor, Helen and Live are stranded (surprisingly enough!) in London, 2020, at the Time Lord's Baker Street residence.

In the 1970s, young soldier Ron Winters has just met lab assistant Tony Clare. But in 2020, they need Liv and Helen’s help when their memories start falling apart...

Doctor Who: Who's He? Podcast #403 What's too painful to remember - Terror Firma Review
Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast....
Omega's Tittle Tattle Corner
As there is no news to spreak of, it's a return to the realms of rumour!! This time the lads discuss just who is Neil Patrick Harris playing in the 60th anniversary special and location photos of a certain Star Beast that Phil has to educate Paul on. They also go off tangent while discussing fickle fandom which ends up with Phil getting wistful for BBC Radio 2 of the 1970's.
Review - Terror Firma
After what seems like an eternity, Paul selected a Paul McGann Big Finish story to review, Terror Firma. In a tale that features Davros being driven more mad than usual, Daleks, Charley Pollard and C'Rizz and companions of the Doctor that even he didn't know he had, the lads ended up confused by it all and left them wondering one thing - is the first Paul McGann story they didn't enjoy? Listen to find out!

#208 - Who's Your Daddy?
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2Father's Day! To mark our sixth anniversary of podcasting, we discuss fathers in Doctor Who. We talk about the fathers in the show who made the most memorable appearances for us. We ask what is the role of dads in Who throughout the show's history? Can Davros be considered as a father and was he a good dad? We briefly note that some fathers on screen acted alongside their children from time-to-time in Who. And, weigh in whether or not the plans for the McGann Doctor to search the universe for his father, Ulysses, was a lost opportunity, or not. So all things dad in this episode of the Metebelis Two. Opening music is from the Father's Day score, composed by Murray Gold. Closing music is from the 1968 single from The Zombies, "Time of the Season". We recorded this episode on 19 June 2022.
