Podcastica Episode 325: The Shakespeare Code OR Hail! Hail Freedonia!
PodcasticaWell, we're clearly coming out of something of an election hangover and while there's work to be done on that front, we're also coping with a bit of Doctor Who! This time we compared The Shakespeare Code to a summer's day! And it held up pretty darn well! Not only that, but we've moved ourselves and the podcast over to Bluesky so be sure to check the show notes for our new socials!

#257 - The Rise and Fall of Harry Sullivan
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2We continue on with our leisurely-paced examination of Ian Marter's time on Doctor Who by looking at Harry Sullivan's role in Genesis of the Daleks and Revenge of the Cybermen. The character starts out strong with Terry Nation's sidekick / buddy writing for Sullivan in Genesis, but by the time Bob Holmes writes Revenge, Harry is on the chopping block, and we witness a prickly, almost hostile relationship with Sarah and the scapegoat and butt of jokes for the Doctor — a total disintegration of the character due to no fault of Marter. Opening music is from the Genesis of the Daleks soundtrack composed by Dudley Simpson and closing music is "Rockfall" composed by Carey Blyton. We recorded this episode on 4 November 2024.

Who's He? Podcast 480 | To shoot your leaders down
Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast....
Review - The Deadly Assassin
After nearly 13 years of podcasting, Phil and Paul finally get around to looking at The Deadly Assassin, the classic Doctor Who serial starring Tom Baker. However, is it really a classic or is a really slight story that everyone views with rose tinted specs? They discuss such points and also how a brave woman took on the confectionery giants and prevented Phil from being sick again.
Also, with news of certain classic stories being removed from iPlayer, the lads scratch their heads as to whether streaming really is the future of watching media and if the Russian state will come after them.
You can find us on X, Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky and Facebook. Don't miss an episode by subscribing to our show on Apple Podcasts/iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Podcasts, plus many other podcatchers of your choice.
