Episode 31....Who 101 Part 1
Two girls, a guy and a TARDIS....The Podcast - Nervous Dog ProduSorry for the long wait, between crashed hard drives, grad parties, baptisms, birthday parties and crashing software we haven't had a new episode in quite awhile. There was on recorded thought that suffered the crashed software fate, so anyway here is part 1 of the panel we were recently on along with Gordon Dymowski, JB Anderton (WHO37 podcast), Geek Girl Chicago Lauren, Phil and Ken. It was hosted by the Chicago Nerd Social Club, so you should probably look them on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/55886508718/?fref=ts and follow them, especially if you live in the Chicagoland area! So enjoy!

Verity! Extra! - Big Finish Round Table
Doctor Who: Verity!VerityExtraBFWriters210We at Verity! often jabber on about Big Finish, but this time we thought we'd let some experts do the jabbering for us. Join Deb, Erika, and Liz (who is actually one of the experts in question) as we chat with a couple special guests. Yes, we have not one, not two, but three Big Finish writers in the house! Una McCormack makes an overdue return, and we're delighted to welcome Caroline Symcox to the podcast!
If you've ever been curious about what the Big Finish process is like, this is the Extra! for you. And if you have a favorite BF audio, do tell us in the comments. We're always all ears for recommendations (and specifically, recs for where to start)!
Also, do you like free stuff? Well, then be sure to enter our Big Finish giveaway! Three people will win download codes for three different stories (Breaking Bubbles and Other Stories, The Council of Nicaea, and Starborn [by Jacqueline Rayner]), and a fourth lucky winner will win codes for all three!
Twitter entries are preferred: use "#BreakingBubbles from @bigfinish" to enter! If you're not on Twitter, we'll accept comment entries here as well. (No other social media though. Two entry sources are enough to comb through. Wouldn't want to miss anybody!)

Almost 10.5 Doctor Colum Regan Guests On The PodKast
Kasterborous PodkastChristian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
How excited were we this week to welcome onto the podKast a man with a voice like a god, who also doubled for David Tennant in various RTD-era Doctor Who episodes including Voyage of the Damned and Journey’s End?! Say hello, dear listener, to Colum Regan, musician, extra, double and novelist, who is here to talk about just how he became the Doctor’s Double as well as his upcoming book The Fly Guy.
Along with joining us discussing the Doctor Who Series 8 news, Colum helpfully explains just how he went from working as a musician to standing in for David Tennant! It’s a fascinating story, spanning Weevils and Kylie Minogue, and we’re sure you’re going to enjoy listening to it as much as we did.
Colum Regan will have his first book out later this year, “The Fly Guy” and we’ll also hear from him about that.
Oh, and he has a deep, booming, god-like voice. We mentioned that above, but feel it is worth repeating.
Kasterborous PodKast Series 4 Episode 23 Shownotes
- The Retardis delivers Monty Python on stage
- Camp Cybermen in St Pauls
- Goodbye to Clara?
- Doctor Who Legacy/Titan mashup, Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor, Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor.
- Colum Regan on Twitter: @SansonRegan, and Facebook: www.facebook.com/columsansonregan
- Recommendations: Ripper Street Series 1, “The Fly Guy” (look out for it at Christmas!), Colum’s album “Hotel“
The Kasterborous PodKast theme tune is arranged by Russell Hugo. He’s got the magic fingers, you know.
Listen to the PodKast
There are several ways to listen. In addition to the usual player above, we're pleased to announce that you can also stream the podKast using Stitcher, an award-winning, free mobile app available for Android and iPhone/iPad. This pretty much means that you can listen to us anywhere without downloading - pretty neat, we think you'll agree! (Note that it can take a few hours after a new podKast is published to "catch up".)
What’s more, you can now listen and subscribe to the podKast via our Audioboo channel! Head to http://audioboo.fm/channel/doctorwhopodkast and click play to start listening. You can also comment and record your own boos in response to our discussions! Meanwhile you can use the player below to listen through Audioboo:
You haven't clicked play yet?! What are you waiting for? As well as our new Stitcher and Audioboo presence you can also use one of these amazingly convenient ways to download and enjoy this week's podKast.
- Use the player in the top right of the Kasterborous home page, or visit the podKast menu link.
- Listen with the "pop out" player above, which also allows you to download the podKast to your computer.
- You can also take advantage of the RSS feed to subscribe to the podKast for your media player, and even find us on iTunes, where your reviews will help the show considerably.

2MTL 349: More Than 2,000 Years in the TARDIS?
Two-minute Time LordTwo thousand years! That's how old The Doctor is now, as stated by the Twelfth in the latest trailer and as implied in his predecessor's swan song, "The Time of the Doctor." That's a pretty huge leap from roughly 900 years old at the start of Steven Moffat's showrunnership. Is it a fair leap when you consider the assumed ages of his predecessors? Or is "fairness" even a fair issue?
-
Episode 115: The ___ of the World, Part 1
The TARDIS TavernWith the blood of yet another guest host on their hands, our brave hosts seek refuge at an all too familiar restaurant and exchange witter banter about nothing. After that's done, they focus their attention on the Second Doctor romp "The Enemy of the World", in which Patrick Troughton dons black face and a questionable accent. Order a big salad, be the master of your domain, and listen in as they talk about whether this is a brilliant gem of a story or one better left undiscovered.
Remember to look for us on Facebook and email us at tardistavern@gmail.com. You can also follow Sean on Twitter via @tardistavern and Steve via @tardistaverntit. Email us audio feedback and we'll award you with unlimited rice pudding.

Who's He?On this weeks edition of the Who's He? Podcast they've gone beige with an audio commentary for episodes 1 and 2 of Castrovalva. During the dissection of this story, they bravely try to bring you facts of the day of original broadcast and make Tony play the guess the ratings game. The lads are also fuelled with wine which causes Phil to make a rather naughty comment!
And in the news, they catch up all the leaks from the BBC, news of a BFI showing of Deep Breath and in Omega's Tat Corner, action figures that seem to get worse the more they make.

Episode 142: The Clash
The Sonic ToolboxRussell T. Davies, bless his heart, gave us the Time War in an attempt to get away from those meddling Time Lords. What he really gave us was the biggest retcon in all of time and space. As the summer rolls on, we explore that clash and some of its implications. Gallifrey is calling...
Opening song: "London Calling" by The Clash, from the album London Calling.

Radio Free Skaro #431 - Birth of the Titans
Radio Free SkaroWith San Diego Comic Con looming, roving Radio Free Skaro reporter Warren Frey took it upon himself to interview Andrew James, the editor of the new Doctor Who range at Titan Comics. James spilled the beans on SDCC plans, a Doctor Who Day promotion across the U.S. and the U.K. and much more, but first...a massive (one could even say Titan-ic) amount of news. From the leak of Deep Breath (or a somewhat unfinished version of it, anyway) to action dolly news, Big Finish updates and more, the Three Who Rule were overwhelmed by an avalanche of information. And all this without an official Doctor Who panel at Comic Con! Madness. Pure madness.
