PodKasting as a duo this week, Brian A Terranova and James McLean give their thoughts on a couple of recent news items before turning their attention to two Cybermen stories.

Revenge of the Cybermen in 1975 was the cyborg race’s first appearance since 1969, while Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel was their introduction to nuWho (a brief cameo in Dalek notwithstanding). Both stories attempted to rewrite the Cyberman legend, with varying levels of success, and also featured a Doctor with two companions.

While it is difficult to establish which story is “best”, Brian and James nevertheless have a great discussion about their likes and dislikes about the two stories.

Deadly divas, anyone? This week our villainous discussion centers on the ladies. For a change, we have a jumping off point--and it's VAM! (That's "value-added material", as in DVD extras.) Join Deb, Erika, Lynne, and Tansy as we discuss one of the extras on the Shada DVD set. (Spoiler: We're much more excited about this one than the last one we talked about.) What does it mean to be a diva? Do all the female baddies on the show (and included the extra) qualify? Our discussion ranges beyond "Those Deadly Divas", so if you haven't seen it, don't fear, there's plenty here for you too. Children have gone missing from a chilly London suburb and they’re not visiting the London Olympics. This week we are joined by Tommy V and Lauren to help us discuss the cold summer Olympics set in the crazy future year 2012.

In a rare editorial move, we’re lifting the curtain and letting you see a glimpse of In the Console room. Before the show starts (and even after the credits) you’ll get to hear a bit of the pre-show debauchery and see what it takes to get everyone on the same page and get the show started.

Most agree this isn’t the best episode of Doctor Who and at some point we may get a little distracted while talking about the episode. No worries because when Tommy V gives us the “Tom Baker Eyes” and Lauren starts inappropriate relations with Simba the only thing left for Jennie and Ben to do is put Fingers to Lips.
