Listen to the PodKast
There are several ways to listen. In addition to the usual player above, we're pleased to announce that you can also stream the podKast using Stitcher, an award-winning, free mobile app available for Android and iPhone/iPad. This pretty much means that you can listen to us anywhere without downloading - pretty neat, we think you'll agree! (Note that it can take a few hours after a new podKast is published to "catch up".)
What’s more, you can now listen and subscribe to the podKast via our Audioboo channel! Head to http://audioboo.fm/channel/doctorwhopodkast and click play to start listening. You can also comment and record your own boos in response to our discussions! Meanwhile you can use the player below to listen through Audioboo:
You haven't clicked play yet?! What are you waiting for? As well as our new Stitcher and Audioboo presence you can also use one of these amazingly convenient ways to download and enjoy this week's podKast.
- Use the player in the top right of the Kasterborous home page, or visit the podKast menu link.
- Listen with the "pop out" player above, which also allows you to download the podKast to your computer.
- You can also take advantage of the RSS feed to subscribe to the podKast for your media player, and even find us on iTunes, where your reviews will help the show considerably.

MUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast 74 - "The Caretaker"
Mutter's Spiral PodcastMUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast returns to discuss "The Caretaker", episode 6 of Series 8 (or Series 34) of Doctor Who, written by Gareth Roberts & Steven Moffat. It's the cataclysmic first meeting of the Doctor and Clara's new friend, Danny Pink, and Clara's in the middle. So, there's a LOT to talk about this week - we have an interesting discussion with 2 very different viewpoints on this episode, the behaviors involved, and how it struck us. It's the favorite episode of the series for one of us, and for the other, it was a journey from initial dislike to great enjoyment of the episode with some issues still. Plus, news and trivia! Please take care and listen! ;-)

8.06 - The Caretaker
FeexbyJoin me @Feexby and the redoubtable @Loll73 (try redoubting him, go on, it's fun) as we chat in front of, on top of, and behind The Caretaker. It's a Doctor Who episode that is almost unrecognisable from the Harold Pinter original. Though how good would a Clive Donner episode starring Alan Bates, Donald Pleasence and Alan Bates have been? Puh-retty god, I reckon.

Radio Free Skaro #441 - Officer's Mess
Radio Free SkaroWhen we found out that Gareth Edwards was the scribe behind “The Caretaker,” we all expected a rompity-romp-romp, much like “The Lodger” and “Closing Time.” And while this story did have rompy moments, it was also funny, touching and filled with nice character touches that you’ll only find out about if you listen to our review. So do so! This weekend was also when Edmonton Expo descended on the Edmonton Expo Centre in sunny Edmonton, Alberta, and Steven was there to moderate a panel on Doctor Who and more specifically Series Eight with Erika Ensign, convention general manager Shane Turgeon, and Sara Ellen. Tune in to find out what these noble souls thought of P-Cap, J-Co, The Moff and everything else we’ve seen so far in Series Eight!

Episode 152: Doctor Who is The Caretaker of This Review
The Sonic ToolboxSomething weird's going on at Coal Hill School (again) and, of course, the Doctor is right smack dab in the middle of it. And so are we, right along with him. This week, it's "The Caretaker" and we're taking care not just of reviewing the story this week, but there's so much sciencey goodness packed into this story that it's going to leak out into future TST episodes if we're not careful (and we're not). Not to mention (which we do) Danny Pink finally makes it into the TARDIS and gets himself stuck in the Doctor's craw.
"The Caretaker" has got so many talking points for this review we may not have any room for the rabbits. (Yeah. Don't bet on it.)
