Osgone, But I’m Back Now!
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastIt was suddenly announced by the BBC that Ingrid Oliver will be returning to Doctor Who wearing a certain (shall we say, familiar?) character costume, in a Series 9 story that also happens to feature the shape-shifting Zygons. This has led to Whovians the world over simultaneously grinning, and scratching their heads in confusion. This week, we pull the emergency brake to discuss the surprising news of this apparent — or alleged — return of fan favorite Osgood, and how this reappearance could impact […]

Tim's Take On: Episode 278(Doctor Who: The Long Game commentary)
Tim's Take On...My 2005 series rewatch reaches Doctor Who: The Long Game, one of the best episode of Series One with excellent guest appearances by Simon Pegg and a cracking script from Russell T Davies possibly so good due to it’s long gestation(he originally had the idea back in the 1980s)

EP-37: A Chat With Nev Fountain
Playing Doctor: A Doctor Who PodcastRecently at (Re)Generation Who we had scheduled to record a podcast during our panel. While setting up for our recording we had the pleasure of meeting Nev Fountain who was finishing his panel and chatting with Proper Ben (Taylor) and FotS Craig Cobalt. We ended up having the opportunity to spend our panel time having a chat with Nev about his work with the Big Finish Audio Dramas, a lifetime of being a Doctor Who fan, and being a writer.
Many of our listeners will recognize Nev as the author of the Mervyn Stone Mysteries, his work on the audio dramas and also as writer for the popular British comedy series Dead Ringers. We were honored to have the chance to speak with Nev and look forward to the release of his upcoming novel "Painkiller" due out in early 2016.

2MTL 377: (Not) Daydreaming of Being the Doctor
Two-minute Time LordWhy would a man-child geek culture hound, who has immersed himself in your Star Treks and Star Wars and Jason of Star Commands as a child, dreaming of being those characters and living in those worlds, become obsessed to the point of podcasting about a character, the Doctor, whom he absolutely cannot imagine being?

Who's He? Podcast #203 Dinosaurs roaming the earth
Who's He?In this weeks episode, Phil and Paul take a look at another Target novelisation with Doctor Who And The Dinosaur Invasion by Malcom Hulke. This is a story that both Paul and Phil love with a plot that has more twists and turns than a twisty turny thing and rubbish puppet dinosaurs. So did this book change any of those plots twists and did it go to any lengths to address the dinosaur factor? What did they find in addition were drunken Scotsmen, no cars of vanity and Phil trying to convince Paul of a what he believes to be a major change to one of the characters.
And in this news, more cast names and the episode total for Series 9, Doctor Who wins a BAFTA amd in Omega's Tat Corner it's pricey tat that both Phil and Paul would like to own.

Episode 68: The Mark Hamill Level "No"
Trust Your DoctorNo, Susan, I am your grandfather! NOOOOOOO!
This week Kiyan and Dylan are visited by some very special people… And they’re late, to boot. It’s very weird, but at least it’s somehow related to The Three Doctors, which featured the return of Patrick Troughton and William Hartnell to the role of the Doctor. The serial was written by Bob Baker and David Martin, and it aired from the 30th of December, 1972 through the 20th of January, 1973 as a 10th anniversary special.

The News
As always we hate kicking the news off with sad times but we do also like to celebrate the lives of people who have appeared in Doctor Who. Nigel Terry, who played the firm and naive General Cobb in the 10th Doctor story The Doctor's Daughter has sadly passed away aged 69. After a long career in both movies and television it's his performance in 2008 along side David Tennant that will stick with Who fans.
Big Finish have now secured the rights to Torchwood and we'll be getting six brand new audio plays starting this September. After years of fans asking for a new Torchwood TV show this is the best we're going to get until then but in some ways this is potentially better as Big Finish have a very high success rate within the Who universe and its many spectacular stories. John Barrowman will return along with new characters to continue Captain Jack's adventures.
It seems we may not have seen the last of River Song. Alex Kingston has been speaking at Mega-Con in the US she says "All I can say is... spoilers!". She then goes onto say that she hasn't been told her character is done so, take from that what you will.
Competition - winner announced
Thank you all for tweeting in for our latest competition. The winner of Cameron K McEwan's new book The Unofficial Doctor Who Big Book of Lists is - Thomas Evans. Congratulations and enjoy. Thank you to Race Point Publishing for giving us a copy of the book for the competition. For those of you who didn't win, we highly recommend the book which can be picked up in all good bookshops or at Amazon.
"Black Orchid" Review
We love Classic Who week and we pick out a fairly quiet story that hardly ever gets talked about or reviewed. It's a short two-parter featuring 5th Doctor Peter Davison with the trio of Tegan, Nyssa and Adric who get pulled into a lively social gathering but there's a sinister figure responsible for murder. Is this short and sweet or does it shrivel and die like un-watered flowers?
It's been a great week inside the Tardis. Thank you for your thoughts on Black Orchid and thank you for pushing us over 500 Likes on Facebook, that's awesome! Next week we're reviewing Eccleston's Father's Day. Until next week - Allons-y!

The Oncoming Storm Ep 153: BF # 66 - Did You See That Ludicrous Display Last Night?
The Oncoming StormWe here at The Oncoming Storm are big fans of the Sportsball! Indeed, there's nothing more that we like to do than sit back with out favorite cocktail, watch the players take to the pitch, throw around the basesball, and score lots of touchdowns! That's why we couldn't be more excited to talk about The Game, by Darin Henry. It's all about the Doctor getting involved in the sport of Naxy, the national sport of the world of Cray. I'm sure it will be a bracing time! There's also some sort of war and William Russell is involved somehow. So throw on your cleats, and let's get down to it! The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got the original story River Song was pilfered from. Again.
