Primary Sources - March 1985
The Doctor Who ShowWelcome to a new podcast we'll be dropping on the feed every month; usually two weeks after our main episode but on this weekend, we're dropping a Primary Sources on the Saturday and a Doctor Who Show on the Sunday. So you'll be getting another Primary Sources in two week's time, then another Doctor Who Show two weeks after that. Rinse & repeat.
What's it all about? Well, take a listen! These are short (20 minute-ish) shows where Rob from the Doctor Who Show sits down with a guest and reads letters - that's the primary sources of the title - about Doctor Who from the 80s and 90s, for the purpose of kick-starting a conversation. Vitally, the guest doesn't know anything about the letters until the recording.
This is Doctor Who without a safety net. The conversations could go anywhere the guest wants them to go.
This is Primary Sources.

Doctor's Orders
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who Podcast"Run for it, Marty! The Mistress is...sitting in MY SPOT!" We always listen closely when the Doctor shares one of his many pearls of wisdom with us. Perhaps it's because of his gravitas, his gathered millennia of otherworldly experiences, or his commanding presence. Perhaps it's the title -- Doctor. It commands a degree of respect and attention. When the Doctor speaks, we're often compelled to listen. So does that apply to other famed doctors we've come into contact with? Joined by guest game-master Joshua Lou Friedman (of Long Island Who and Gallifrey One convention fame), we play a game of identifying Doctor's quotes -- but not just our beloved Gallifreyan Doctor. We've also included Doc Emmett Brown, and Dr. Sheldon Cooper in the mix. Let the games...begin!

Reality Bomb Episode 056
Reality Bomb - a Doctor Who podcastOn the fifty-sixth edition of Reality Bomb, we have a super-sized episode which looks at the legacy and future of the Target Novels as Graeme Burk talks first with fans Jon Arnold and Christopher Bryant, and then with author Jenny Colgan, who wrote the recent adapation of The Christmas Invasion. We then look back to when Doctor Who broke bad and lost its arms, its legs, it's everything as Doctor Who writer Andrew Smith brings Nightmare of Eden to the Gallery of the Underrated. And Joy Piedmont talks to Sage Young, Petra Mayer and Michelle Tidmore about Doctor Who actors and the appeal they have that bring fans to conventions and the stage door. Plus Bruce and Darren travel to a parallel dimension to get a shelf with uniform DVD and blu-ray spines...but at what cost? Listen now!

TDP 568: THE PETERLOO MASSACRE Main Range 210
Tin Dog PodcastThey say there'll be thousands pouring into Manchester tomorrow. From all over the county, north and south. It'll be a piece of history. People will remember this!" Lost in the smog of the Industrial Revolution, the TARDIS crashes four miles south of Manchester, in the grounds of Hurley Hall - a grand mansion belonging to a local factory owner, a proudly self-made man. But while Hurley dreams of growing richer still on the wealth of secret knowledge locked up in the Doctor's time and space machine, his servants hope only for a fair day's pay for a fair day's work. His young maid Cathy, for instance, whom Nyssa learns is looking forward to joining the working people's march to St Peter's Field, in the heart of the city. There'll be speeches and banners and music. It'll be like one big jamboree... Or so she thinks. For the city's establishment have called in their own private militia, to control the crowd. One of the darkest days in Manchester's history is about to unfold - and the Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan are right in the thick of it. Written By: Paul MagrsDirected By: Jamie Anderson Cast Peter Davison (The Doctor), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), Janet Fielding (Tegan), Hayley Jayne Standing (Cathy), Robbie Stevens (Hurley), Gerard Kearns (William), Philip Labey (Thomas Tyler), Wayne Forester (Walton/Roberts/Rev Small), Liz Morgan(Mrs Hurley/Sister).
