Big Blue Box Podcast - Episode 114
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastHey Who fans. We have a chock-a-block show this week which includes the latest Doctor Who news, some merch then our review of Class episodes 1 and 2 then onto our normal review which is The Krotons. Phew!
The News
The Power of the Daleks is also coming to cinemas in Australia. Set your calendars for Saturday 12th November as you’ll not only get to see the story in all its glory on the big screen but there’s also a bunch of special features after. Our listeners down under need to head over to the Sharmill Films site to grab your tickets.
A new teaser video has been released showing a tiny bit more about the upcoming Christmas Special. We talk about it a bit more and our feelings on it’s potential success.
Merch
Those of you that have been impressed by Class will be glad to hear that Series 1 is already up for pre-order from Amazon on blu ray and dvd. The release date is 2nd January next year.
“Class: Episodes 1 and 2” Review
A spin-off show is always big news so we’ve dedicated a bit of time to talk through our thoughts and give you a mini-review on the first couple of episodes of Class. Garry has been less than impressed and Adam’s been swayed after his boozy night at the premier but how do we feel about it now? A*’s all round or detention?
“The Krotons” Review
We love the 2nd Doctor so it’s with delight that we’re reviewing this classic from the 60’s. Although Trougton is marvellous to watch does the story keep us entertained or do we fizzle out like Krotons being dissolved with acid?
Thank you all so much for listening and subscribing, your thoughts on our review ep is always lovely. Next week it’s that cheeky 10th Doctor and Tooth and Claw so get your reviews in for that. Until than have a great week and remember – Allons-y!!

Classic Rewatch: The Krotons
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who Podcast"All right, there's no need to shout! Now go away, and don't fuss me. No, come back. What's this? It's all right, I know. Right, fire away. I'm ready." In a set of episodes that rewards viewers with timeless dialogue ("Oh, my giddy aunt!"), delightfully cold and heartless robotic killing machines, dramatic tension between a partisan populace, and more than a fair share of punches thrown, lasers fired, and chemistry lessons learned, this multifaceted sci-fi story is yet another in the long list of thoroughly enjoyable Second Doctor adventures with Jamie and Zoe. Jay and Haley put on their best pointy-shouldered armor, gather a sack full of interesting rocks, and queue up the DVD for a rewatch of the 1969 Doctor Who classic, 'The Krotons'. Doctor Whooch // Episode 101 // Quill & Quail and the Case of the Space Dragons
Doctor WhoochIn which Class is in session. Because... because, get it? Class? Oh, you get it.
Danica and Brandon return this week to talk about the first two episodes of CLASS - the latest Doctor Who spin-off show that they can't quite remember the episode titles for! (Psst: they're "For Tonight We Might Die" and "The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo"). Along the way, they stumble through plot points such as SPACE DRAGONS and ROBOT MAKE-OUTS and then meander into other pop culture stuff happening like TIMELESS. Have you been watching that? You should be watching that.

Bonus Episode: MarkWHO42's CLASS in Session - Semester 1
MarkWHO42 - The Doctor Who PodcastClass has premiered all around the world (well, most of it. The US won't have it until April 2017) so MarkWHO42 will be reviewing 2 episodes every other week in bonus episodes. We will be taking on this task in the form of, duh, a class with pop quizes on each story by headmaster Mark Baumgarten. This time we have our two students: Christian Basel of MarkWHO42 & The Legend of the Traveling TARDIS and Iggy Mathews of Let's Be Reelz with the topics of episode 1, For Tonight We Might Die, and episode 2, The Coach With The Dragon Tattoo. This is a very funny and informative way of reviewing the first two episodes of the very adult-oriented BBC Three Doctor Who spinoff Class! And will Mark set himself up as the butt of a very silly joke? One word of warning though... Make sure you have watched the first two episodes of Class or you will be sent to detention full of Spoilers!!!!

Doctor Who - The High Council Episode 73, The Sea Devils Part 3
Doctor Who - The High CouncilAs we begin Episode 3, we get a full recap of the sword fight (which can be defined several ways), and definitely speculated on what type of meat may be in the sandwich that the 3rd Doctor consumed. So once again, on our virtual couch Josh is enjoying his time with Deb and Liz and time is going pretty quickly. We did debate the current trend of mustaches as well as Jo Grant's amazing Emma Peel impression. Malcolm Hulke certainly knew how to write Jo - and we are all appreciating it! So don't wait, listen in...enjoy Doctor Who - The High Council!
