TDP 1254:. Torchwood 82 : Missing Molly from #Bigfinish review   This title was released in April 2024. It will be exclusively available to buy from the Big Finish website until 30 June 2024, and on general sale after this date. Molly went missing from the estate 12 years ago. Ianto remembers it because he lived just round the corner. Only, Molly’s come back. Ianto’s just as interested as her parents in what happened to her.

This week my new series re-watch reaches the only story in the Capaldi era that I don’t enjoy at all, Doctor Who: Heaven Sent. Capaldi is excellent, it’s well directed but so little happens in 54 minutes and there’s so few characters in the story.

Our very special guest this month has been working in the film industry for over 30 years.  He's written for countless comic franchises including Logan's Run (and his own - Discord), worked as a special effects makeup artist for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, created incredible puppetry for many big-named films, and even won a Saturn award for his own film that he wrote & directed, Encounter (2019).  And if all that isn't enough, he even owns a Dalek, a Zygon, and THE original TARDIS console from the 1996 TV Movie!  He's Paul J. Salamoff and he joins us to talk about all of these things and of course his love of Doctor Who.

Then Paul brings us his Pick of the Month - the iconic CBS anthology series, The Twilight Zone!  We discuss at least five personal favorite episodes of Paul's and talk about why the series remains timeless to this day.  Join us as we look (spoiler-free!) at this very influential series which you can watch currently in North America on Paramount Plus.

Crazy.   Anyway what do we have in store well of course you know the picture of big Arnie gives it away, yes it’s Commando. We appreciate it might be some time since some of you read it, and many of you might have never read it at all (being a nearly 30 year-old novel!), so this episode serves as a synopsis of the novel, enabling you to brush up on the basic storyline.

Take note, this isn't a discussion, and it rattles along at a fair old pace. If you're not up on the first few seasons of Pertwee (and even a few stories that happened before his era), you might miss some of what's going on in this one. The hype train has left the station for Doctor Who as Entertainment Weekly, SFX, Attitude, and other pulp-based data products celebrate the impending Full-On Ncuti Gatwa Era along with the BBC and Disney+ releasing promo illustrations, and most importantly of all the release of Movellan action dollies, which caused spontaneous disco-infused celebrations across the United Kingdom. There’s also the quite suspicious timing of a restored Let It Be hitting Disney+ two days before the two-part premiere of Doctor Who, and most exciting of all, Episode Four of our Classic Series Commentary for “Terror of the Autons”!
