TDP 1008: Robots Volume 4
Tin Dog PodcastThis title was released in June 2021. It will be exclusively available to buy from the Big Finish website until 31 July 2021, and on general sale after this date. During the events of , Liv Chenka left the Doctor and the TARDIS behind. Just for one year. A year during which she would live on Kaldor, and get to know her sister Tula all over again. But Kaldor is going through a period of tumultuous change. Technology is changing at an advanced rate - the robots are evolving, artificial intelligence is adapting, and with these changes so politics is altering too. Dangerously. Can Liv and Tula make a difference during the most turbulent time in the world’s history? 4.1 Closed Loop by Guy Adams Toos needs Poul’s help on a mission so sensitive she won’t even tell him where they’re going. Needing to escape from his demons, Poul agrees. But he finds more ghosts waiting for him at their destination. Landing in the desert, Poul can’t help but be reminded of his time on Storm Mine 4... and soon he’s hearing familiar voices. As he and Toos start to dig, they’re about to discover that some secrets can’t stay buried... 4.2 Off Grid by Sarah Grochala When a Supervoc is found on the streets, claiming responsibility for a recent explosion, it’s clear to Liv and Tula that the Sons of Kaldor are attempting to frame robots for their murderous attacks. But where are they? And how to stop them? As they try to smuggle the Supervoc out of the city, it’s clear that finding the enemy will be the least of their worries as tonight... the lights are going out. 4.3 The Janus Deception by Robert Whitelock Tula is under investigation by the company - for fraud, industrial espionage and conspiracy. She knows she’s innocent... so who is impersonating her? And why? Liv, meanwhile, is nearing the finishing line of her trail, a meeting with the survivors of Storm Mine 4, in person. But will that really be the end... or a new beginning?

Primary Sources – June 1996
The Doctor Who ShowWelcome to the tenth episode of the podcast we’re dropping on the feed every month in between our regular monthly shows.
Normally Rob sits down with his co-host Dave, or a guest, to talk about letters from classic issues of Doctor Who Magazine.
In today’s podcast, however, Dave is presenting letters to Rob from a classic issue of Sonic Screwdriver – the fanzine of the Victorian Doctor Who Fan Club.
This is Doctor Who without a safety net. The conversations could go anywhere the guest wants them to go.

141: Soldiers & Scientists
Neither The Time Nor The SpaceIt's a rather giddy late night recording session for David and Matt this week, so expect even more tangents and ribaldry than usual. Matt continues to subvert the "Would I Lie to Who?" format, and David talks for far too long about vegetarian meat substitutes. They also eventually get around to talking about part two of the Monks trilogy "The Pyramid at the End of the World".
Doctor Who theme by Ron Grainer, arranged by Alexander Erben.

1.9 The Scent of Blood
Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthPieces of Eighth stays in audio territory - but probably not the one you were expecting.
Becca and Kenny this week venture into the lands of BBC Audio, as they discover how The Scent of Blood, released in 2019, came to be. Kenny has a chat with writer Andy Lane, before he and Becca chat with actor Dan Starkey, who narrates the adventure - and Becca tries not to fan girl while talking to Strax...
Plus, courtesy of sound designer and musician David Darlington, you can hear a clean version of the Doctor Who theme which appears in this story.

Podcastica Episode 229: The Sun Makers OR The Yeet Heard Round the World
PodcasticaEffective immediately there is a tax of five Talmars for listening to this podcast! Just kidding, but this time we watched the 4th Doctor story The Sun Makers! This is a bonkers tale and quickly becomes one of our favorites. From set design to costume to the dialogue, it was very clear Robert Holmes was miffed with the tax board and, well, sometimes an artist's frustration produces some of their best work. So sit back, save the Talmars for a nice cold beverage, and let's talk about The Sun Makers!

In their own words:
"Doctor Who: Time Fracture, a ground-breaking Immersive Theatrical Adventure, plunges you into the incredible universe of Doctor Who.
1940 – at the height of the Blitz. A weapon of unknown origin destroys a small corner of Mayfair, and simultaneously opens a rift in space and time. For decades, UNIT have fought undetected to protect the people of Earth from the dangers it poses. Weakened and beaten back as the fracture’s multiplied out of control, they’re close to defeat.
From producers Immersive Everywhere – the creative minds behind London’s longest running and critically acclaimed immersive theatre production, "The Great Gatsby" – and officially licensed by BBC Studios, Doctor Who: Time Fracture will welcome its first UNIT recruits to HQ in Spring 2021." - www.immersivedoctorwho.com/
