Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthIt's good news - Pieces of Eighth has been renewed and is back for a second season!
Over the course of the next 13 weeks, we're going to bring you all-new, exclusive interviews with the people who have made the Eighth Doctor who he is, whether as writers, actors, artists, musicians or anything else.
Having finished last season with a two-part Philip Segal interview, Rebecca and Kenny are continuing with people with TV Movie credits, as they chat with Chang Lee himself, Yee Jee Tso, from his home in Vancouver.
They talk about his casting, turning up late, working with Eric Roberts, the TARDIS set, and publishing his book of TV Movie photographs.

Boom Town, Twice Upon a Time, The Gunfighters and of course, more on Whittaker and Chibnall's departure!
The Doctor Who PodcastMichele and James are back to bring you the latest episode of the DWP. They are joined early on by Drew and Ian for the latest installment of Nine Lives which has reached Episode 9 of Series 1, Boom Town.
Michele then goes through her list of Doctor Who media that she has been reading, watching and listening to – James joins her in discussing The Gunfighters, Twice Upon a Time followed by the rather wonder Shooting Scripts book that complements both the 2005 Series and our Nine Lives saga alike. And of course, what podcast would be complete without a quick round up on the latest following the (not so recent) news that Jodie Whittaker and Chris Chibnall will leaving Doctor Who next year?!
As always, we’d love to hear from you. Send in your thoughts and feedback (audio or written) on anything Who or DWP related and we’ll discuss on an upcoming episode. Email us at feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com, get in touch on Twitter or search for us on Facebook.
Enjoy the show.

Our Eras in Doctor Who Magazine Comics
The Doctor Who ShowAs two guys who were out there in fandom - the first time - in the 1980s and 1990s, we both have really fond memories of buying Doctor Who Magazine and reading the comic strip in it.
Then, quite independently of one another (we didn't know each other!), in different Australian cities, we stopped reading the comic, long before we stopped with the magazine itself.
In this episode we discuss when we came to the comic strip in the magazine, what stories we liked (and didn't like!), and also when we started to lose interest with the strip.
Before then, of course, there’s some news from the past month in Doctor Who, and some mini-topics to discuss. You know the drill for our monthly episode by now, dear listener.
Hope you enjoy the episode. Contact us anytime, hello@theDWshow.net

42 to Doomsday - I'll Take You To Blackpool!
42 To DoomsdayEpisode 94 – Doctor Who exhibitions are ‘showcased’ in this episode and helping us walk down the promenade of yesteryear are John Collier and Alex Storer, the team behind 2020’s FANTASTIC ‘Blackpool Remembered’ publication. We discuss the book which celebrates the legacy of the Blackpool Exhibition, and also other exhibitions that followed. We discuss how the publication came together, the sourcing, sifting of the many contributions from fans and exhibition staff alike and the reaction to Blackpool Remembered and what readers can expect from Blackpool Revisited. We chat about our experiences visiting the Blackpool Exhibition, what we bought from the shop, a ‘doppelganger’ Bessie and was it really the 6th Doctor downing a crafty pint at a pub in a small Welsh village? All this plus Rob and Mark’s delayed and muted response to the departure of the Pip and Jane Baker of the new series. Plus, we respond to our overflowing mailbag of listener's comments about their view of the current state of the Omni-Rumour ™ and another ‘What If?’ scenario is posed to us! Podcastica Episode 232: The Girl in the Fireplace OR Horse on a Spaceship
PodcasticaJohn is back! And we're reviewing The Girl in the Fireplace! The Doctor, Rose, and (well…) that other guy, arrive on a spaceship in the 51st Century. No time agents about, but the power of the spaceship is being used to punch holes back to 18th Century France and the life of Madame de Pompadour. Rather snazzy looking clockwork droids are terrorizing Reinette until she’s "ready." Can The Doctor, Rose, and the horse figure out when Reinette will be ready and possibly stop the droids from going all “off with her head”? They’ll have to if they want to save The Girl in the Fireplace! Also, please don’t ever place actual girls in actual fireplaces. That’s not a safe place for them. This Public Service Announcement brought to you by your friends at Podcastica!

Searching for him they find their way to an isolated research base. The corridors show signs of animal incursions and the scientists are behaving strangely. But a big surprise is waiting for them. Because this is where Mark Seven came from. They’re about to find out who he is. But is that information too dangerous to know? 2.2 The Trojan Dalek by John Dorney The Doctor, Mark and Anya head for an SSS space station searching for the missing temporal scientist, Arborecc. But the officer in charge denies all knowledge of his presence and demands their departure. Unwilling to leave so easily, the group split up to investigate... and uncover a heinous plot involving the Doctor’s oldest foes. Or do they? 2.3 The Lost by Robert Valentine When the Doctor’s latest scheme to get back to the future fails, the team’s ship crashes on a strange world, potentially trapping them for ever. Searching for replacement parts, they find their way to a building where heart-breakingly familiar faces await them. Lies are about to be exposed. Everyone will learn the truth. And nothing will be the same again. This boxset release contains all three stories, plus additional behind the scenes interviews.
