Son, you'll never need to smell the black canal
Who's He?In this weeks episode, the retrospective of series 5 continues with The Vampires Of Venice. While neither Paul nor Phil were particuarly looking forward to re-watching this episode, they were both surprised at how much they actually enjoyed it. However, things wouldn't be the same if they didn't pick holes in something and this week it's perception filters!!
Also in a slow news week, the Who's He? Podcast news desk brings you Doctor Who Christmas decorations and the news of The Gunpowder Plot adventure game that Paul couldn't care less about. Things also go off on a tangent as usual by the end of the show and Phil admits to knowing a man in a rubber suit.

Scrolls Book Group: A Song Of Ice And Fire
Geek SyndicateScrolls Book Group: A Song Of Ice And Fire
In which we try to harness George RR Martin's vast, fiery beast as it spawls triumphantly across the gems of modern Fantasy. From the very first book, A Game Of Thrones, this series has proven to be one of those compulsive reads that ignite the passions of a whole generation of readers, reaching far beyond the traditional boundaries of genre preference.
Joining us for the podcast are returning special guests Matt - The Grampus from Dissecting Worlds, and Carey - she of the Two-Monkeys from Geektress.
We tackle the books one by one and focus on a particular theme for each. There are Major plot spoilers throughout and we do skip back and forth between books on occasion, so we strongly recommend that you only listen to this episode once you have finished reading Book 5: A Dance With Dragons.
Warning: contains gratuitous boobies.
Amongst the many items up for discussion are: Whose fault is it anyway, Why should you never bring your mum to work, Feuds and the Feudal system, Alternative weapons of war, Cers Ei Coyote, What's eating Red R'hllor, and The ignominous fate of bastards.
In order to do the series justice we've recorded a far longer episode than usual - but never fear! For those of you who prefer your podcasts in bite-sized chunks we have divided the episode up into approximately half-hour segments with a musical cue from the stunning HBO television series to seperate them.
The start times and themes for each section are as follows:-
2m 41s - A Game Of Thrones: Secrets
32m 57s - A Clash Of Kings: War
59m 14s - A Storm Of Swords: Betrayal
1h 28m 30s - A Feast For Crows: Religion and Magic
1h 53m 10s - A Dance With Dragons: Use of Power

Radio Free Skaro #279 - Shore Leave
Radio Free SkaroWell, it had to come to this eventually - a slow news week and a duff episode of Doctor Who to be commented on both occurring on the same episode of Radio Free Skaro. With little in the way of actual news to discuss, the Three Who Rule instead bandied about their mostly positive experiences while playing the new Doctor Who Adventure game, The Gunpowder Plot. And with equally little in the way of actual good Doctor Who, the Three meandered into discussions about Justin Bieber and the films of director Peter Weir. You have been warned.

TDP 213: Frazer Hines DWPA interview podcast whoovers 3 - 2011
Tin Dog PodcastPresenting the Frazer Hines DWPA interview podcast recorded at whoovers 3 - 2011 Biog taken from his own site http://www.thespeakersagency.com/speakerprofile/189/Frazer%20Hines/ Frazer (born in Horsforth, Yorkshire) is a British actor best known for his roles as Jamie McCrimmon in the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who, and Joe Sugden in Emmerdale Farm (later just Emmerdale). At the age of eight, after studying acting at the Corona Academy, he made his acting debut. He later appeared in the first Hammer horror film X The Unknown (1955) and then Charlie Chaplin's A King in New York (1957) followed by The Weapon, starring Lizabeth Scott, in the same year. By the end of the 1950s he had appeared in twelve films. In 1960 he appeared in the eight-part serial The Young Jacobites for the British Children's Film Foundation. His television roles included Jan in The Silver Sword (1957-8), Tim Birch in Emergency Ward 10 (1963-4), and Roger Wain in Coronation Street (1965). In Doctor Who he played the part of Jamie McCrimmon, a companion of the Second Doctor, from 1966 to 1969 as well as reappearing in The Five Doctors (1983) and The Two Doctors (1985). After his three-year stint as Jamie he resumed the life of a jobbing actor (appearances include The Last Valley (1970) with Michael Caine and Omar Sharif, and Zeppelin (1971) with Michael Yorke) until he was cast in the new soap opera Emmerdale Farm as Joe Sugden in 1972 — a role he played until 1994. In between making episodes of Emmerdale, as it was renamed in the 1980's, he has continued a career in the theatre and made occasional appearances in other TV shows. Hines was a noted amateur horse jockey, and still maintains a great interest in horseracing through his breeders club at Newmarket. Other interests include cricket, fine dining, women and wine. Hines has recorded linking narration for many Second Doctor serials which no longer exist in video form; the soundtracks, along with Hines' narration, have been released on CD by BBC Audio. He has also appeared in several of Big Finish's Doctor Who audio plays. Among his many theatre credits are twenty eight consecutive pantomimes in which he has played everything from Buttons to Fleshcreep. He is an accomplished after dinner speaker and co-owns a record company in Australia with his nephew Clive.

017 Doctor Who (The Seeds of Death)
theTimeVaultLisssping lizardssss plan to spread their seed across the planet (eurgh!) and invade, but the Doctor gets them to agree to a dancing competition; the winner get's the Earth. His largely improvised routine is lots of running about and arm waving, which can't compete when the Martians get their best warrior to do 'the robot'. The judges (a posh bird and two old blokes with saggy trousers who work for a flying carpet manufacturer) reluctantly give that round to the Ice Warriors. While Earth's security forces all go for a bubble bath, it looks like mankind is finished as the Glam Rock Marshal and his Disco Lizards plan a show-stopping number in the final round...... Can the Doctor, Jamie and Zoe's last minute rain dance win them the trophy?
