Waffle On about Shaun of the Dead A Bonus Show with The Anomaly Podcast

Hello and welcome to this very special bonus Halloween episode of Waffle On Podcast in which Meds joins forces with our ‘Sister Show’ The brilliant Anomaly Podcast.

Jen and Angela fight of the zombies and help Meds waffle on about this brilliant British film which stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Also as a special treat there is a comedy sketch at the beginning to get the ball rolling. One word of warning for those who listen with kids this is a podcast about zombies and eating brains, and in this version there are clips that do contain a lot of swearing so please BE WARNED. (The Waffle On version is slightly different to The Anomaly one so please download both podcasts and if you dont want one with cuss words in please listen to The Anomaly episode)

This week, a sleep deprived Paul and a chipper Phil continue their look back at series 5 with Flesh And Stone. Here they discuss whether this story proves that not all two part stories have weak second parts and whether Amy throwing herself at the Doctor does or does not seem out of place in what is essentially a childrens programme. And with the announcement that a clip of this years Christmas special will be on this years Children In Need, Phil wonders why we have to sit through hours of dancing newsreaders to see a couple of minutes of Who? Let's get this straight though, Children In Need is a worthy cause. Phil just doesn't like dancing newsreaders.

After the highs of "The Unquiet Dead", we are back to the lows. After that, Nuala departs while Graeme from The2ndDoctor's Podcast joins Matt to have a lengthy discussion about the Sixth Doctor serial "The Two Doctors" and audio "Doctor Who and the Pirates". Topics discussed include flatulence and cannibalism in more fun for the whole family.

This time we discuss #498 in the poll, the infamous "Time and the Rani."  Joining us for the fun is Steven of Radio Free Skaro, who makes us feel like buffoons with his encyclopedic knowledge of the show (as if he needed help with that).  Is Mel redeemable in this one?  Does Kate O'Mara do good imitations?  Why does the Doctor play spoons on the Rani's breasts?  Will they ever have a "Time and the Rani" Lego set?  All these questions will be answered...and more, including some cryptic audio feedback from one of our favorite listeners.

October's release, as our rotation of the series' dictates, will be a Virgin New Adventure chosen by Sean: Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible by Marc Platt (ISBN: 0-426-20365-8).  Here's the blurb from the back cover:
