Tin Dog Podcast

- Description:
- tin-dog@hotmail.co.uk The Tin Dog welcomes you to sit back and listen to his rants and ramblings about all that is best in modern SF and Television. Via the gift of the new fangled Podcast over the tinterweb. As you can probably guess Tin Dog mostly talks about Doctor Who, Torchwood and Sarah Jane Smith but that wont stop him talking about any other subject you suggest. Hailing from a non specific part of the northeast of England, Tin Dog is male and in his mid 30s. A life long fan of almost all TV SF. His semi-autistic tendencies combined with his total lack of social skills have helped him find a place in the heart of British SF Fandom. Even as a child the Tin Dogs mother told him that she can trace his love of SF TV back to his rhythmic kicking, while still in the womb, along to the beat of the Avengers theme music. From Gabriel Chase to Totters Lane, from the Bad Wolf Satellite to the back streets of the Cardiff, Tin Dog will give you his thoughts on the wonderful Whoniverse. Daleks and Cybermen and TARDIS ES Oh My If you enjoy these Tin Dog Podcasts please remember to tell your friends and leave an email tin-dog@hotmail.co.uk

TDP 740: #DoctorWho Main Range 233 - KINGDOM of LIES from @BigFinish
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 10 minutes and 9 secondsA brilliant and funny addition to the monthly range. @TinDogPodcast On the planet Cicero Prime, the kingdom of Cardenas is divided, with the whole population forced to swear allegiance to either the effete Duke or the fiery, hard-edged Duchess. This is a situation both parties have grown tired of. What use is half a kingdom when, thanks to a carefully engineered murder, you could have it all? Surely, neither of them would be rash enough to summon the deadly off-world assassin The Scorpion to help with their problem? And surely, this terrifying figure wouldn't arrive wearing a long cream coat and striped trousers...? TDP 730: The Prisoner Volume 2 From @BigFinish
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 20 minutes and 42 seconds"Mark Elstob is just Glorious...His Number 6 is better and more personal than the original... Thoughly enjoyable, throughly captivating... This is Nic Briggs Prisoner and its a worthy addition to the Prisoner Canon." I'm not a number. I'm a free man!' January 16th, 1967... A secret agent resigns, then wakes up to find himself imprisoned in 'The Village' - a bizarre community with a cheery veneer, but an underbelly of mystery and threat. All occupants of The Village have numbers instead of names, with our secret agent forced to accept the mantle of Number Six. The authorities running this Village are intent on discovering why Number Six resigned - but it's a secret he steadfastly refuses to divulge. As the drama unfolds, the authorities, in the guise of the sinister Number Two, try ever more ingenious and aggressive means to bend Number Six to their will. All the while, Number Six is intent on two aims: to escape and to find out 'Who is Number One?'. 2.1 I Met a Man Today (adapted from Many Happy Returns) Exhausted after a daring escape from the Village, Six returns to London to find a woman living in his home. Despite being fearful that this could be yet another trick by those who run the Village, he dares to take the risk and starts to get to know her... Meanwhile, those running British Intelligence have their own agenda. 2.2 Project Six (adapted from A, B and C) Six is now certain he can't trust anyone. Any food or water in the Village could be laced with chemicals to alter his mental state. Going 'nil by mouth' in an attempt to prevent potential drugging, he finds himself dazed and confused by hunger and dehydration. And a prisoner in a secret laboratory makes some unnerving claims. Claims that lead to the identity of Number One. 2.3 Hammer into Anvil (adapted from the TV episode of the same title) For the new Number Two 'the gloves are off'. His mission is to break Six, saying he must be either hammer or anvil. But Six has a plan to exploit a weakness in the system. 2.4 Living in Harmony (not adapted from the TV episode of the same title) Six finds himself in entirely unfamiliar circumstances. He is also confronted with the seemingly impossible return of Number Nine. But worst of all, he is faced with a deadly choice. Just how much is his freedom really worth?
