A quick note... you may have heard that some fan creators are no longer covering Doctor Who due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, because Doctor Who is on the SAG-AFTRA list of struck work. We fully support the strike and the writers and actors fighting for fair contracts; however, fan podcasts like ours can continue to discuss Doctor Who because we’re not bound by either union’s rules that prevent members from promoting struck work. As fans, there are many ways you can support the strike and the workers. To that end, we'd like to offer a few resources: Donation page for the Entertainment Community Fund

We revisit the highlights of Petra's 26 appearances on the program, and represent four complete segments including Petra's first time on the program, doing a Gallery of the Underrated on the Sylvester McCoy story The Happiness Patrol way back in episode 013 (July 2014); Petra's stinging critique of the lack of women writers in Doctor Who from episode 018 (December 2014); Petra and Deb Stanish at our second New York City live show talking about the enduring power of regeneration in Doctor Who back in episode 038 (September 2016); and finally we have Petra's contribution to our "Variations on a Timeless Child" episode (083) on a retcon that did not please her (to put it mildly) from September 2020.

Petra Mayer will be missed by Doctor Who fans everywhere.

The gang from Deeper Cuts -- Shannon Dohar, Rob Jones and Reality Bomb's very own Graeme Burk -- have been timescooped over to Reality Bomb's feed (in honour of the Deeper Cuts miniseries, The Soundtrack Sessions, available now!) to do their thing with us-- talking about an album that was of significance to one of them. Because it's Reality Bomb, they're talking about a Doctor Who soundtrack: 1984's Doctor Who - The Music II, which Graeme bought as 17 year-old as it was the sequel to an album he coveted from PBS pledge breaks. But how does this BBC Radiophonic Workshop collection with its heavy synths hold up in the modern era? And what are the basic elements that all Doctor Who music -- of any era -- shares? Get behind the sofa, good people, as the Deeper Cuts trio get all timey-wimey!
