Does every culture have a Steve Jobs analogue?

This episode, both the TV episode and our podcast episode, are a little bit chaotic. We drop a lot of theories on this episode, amazingly they’re all probably going to be wrong. At the same time, can yo believe that? I can. We’re known for it at this point. (Just kidding). Anyway, it’s The Halloween Apocalypse, written by Chris Chibnall and aired on October 31, 2021.

Professor Candy, who appears in a scene at the end of Let’s Kill Hitler appears in Steven Moffat’s short story Continuity Errors, which appeared in Decalog 3: Consequences. It was Moffat’s first official piece of Doctor Who writing, and he would reuse its central conceit as the basis of A Christmas Carol.

In this week's Pieces of Eighth, Becca and Kenny meet David Howe, the range's publisher and editor, and they speak about the three Eighth Doctor novellas published by the range, Riptide, Fallen Gods and Eye of the Tyger. 

We speak with authors Jonathan Blum and Paul McAuley about working on the range, and we feature an archive radio interview with Riptide writer Louise Cooper, who sadly passed away in 2009.
