In this week’s Kasterborous podKast (with a “K”) James McLean and editor Christian Cawley chat about recent news developments concerning Russell T Davies, from Torchwood to Wizards vs Aliens and, of course, the Doctor Who graphic novel that wasn’t.

Another week, another slightly belated episode due to management incompentance! But you hosts are glad you could make it for a look at something off the beaten track. The Oncoming Storm is heading back to comic territory, and this time, it's ones that are actually good! Come back to the days where if you wanted Doctor Who comics, you had to look in Doctor Who Magazine. In these golden days, the comics actually tied into the ongoing New Adventures in one big continuity lovefest. This week, it's Benny's first comic appearance as we look at "Pureblood" from DWM 193-196, as well as a single issue story "Flashback" from the DWM Summer special '94. Josh and Ashley talk continuity clashes, Benny's wardrobe choices, and the secret identity of that one guy who looks like William Hartnell (Shh! It's the First Doctor! Don't tell Ashley I told you!) The Oncoming Storm... this time we've got potato heads. Not the nice kind though, the kind that invade you and take your home for a new homeworld. That kind.

Americans still haven’t thawed their turkeys for Thanksgiving and we’re already putting up our Christmas trees at the Playing Doctor Podcast! This week we are joined by our long time friend Darryl Lewis of FlyingMonkeyMotoGear.com (he also made our awesome theme music) to discuss the Children in Need special and Christmas Invasion as we begin Series 2 of Doctor Who.

Time’s not the only thing that’s a bit wibbly-wobbly as the Doctor crashes the TARDIS into a truck and the Powell Estate itself just in time to get Rose home for Christmas. With spinning Christmas Trees of Death, Regeneration Energy Belches and finding Howard’s fruit in your night robes this promises to be one of the better Christmases in London until everyone climbs up on the roof when the Sycorax arrive.

Some staunch RTD defending this week from the very smart and talented Matt Munson as we take on the ninth Doctor’s second episode.

I don’t know if we really meant for this to turn into a RTD era vs. Moffat era discussion, but it turned out that way and I think we take a really interesting look at just how much the show has changed since it came back in 2005. There is definitely a lot about RTD’s era that I dislike but it has to be said that he really got it right at the beginning and I think Matt and I make a really good case for that. This was another really fun episode to record.

Who's the Daddy? That's quite clever. It works on multiple levels, doesn't it?

What doesn't work is getting Harry, Leeson, Iamwilliam and JNT in a small room together and expecting a podcast to come out of it.

From between the copulating dolphin noises we attempt to discuss The Greatest Show in the Galaxy…we don't get very far. We do get contributions from @terriwestgate, Robert Konigsberg and Chris Buchanan (thanks all) and there is the return of the ubiquitous Iwillbewilliam (@digspinach).

From a small en-suite toilet to a smaller en-suite toilet via Iamwilliam and JNT…

The lounge suite is swimming in a sea of different coloured wools, so much it would put that witty knitter Madame Nostradamus to shame.

And the kitchen.  Let’s just say it will take a little while to clear up the paper mache, glue and tinsel.

What is all this for you may ask?  Well, Trevor, Leeson and Tom have been delving into the wonderful world of fan creativity, in its many guises and forms.

Doctor Who fans certainly are a talented lot, and we have found a few that we wish to share with you today.
