Terminus Podcast -- Episode 19 - Finest Exploding Restaurants: The Husbands of River Song
Terminus: A Doctor Who PodcastOn this belated episode, I indulge in some Andrew Cartmel love, I lament a bit about my current state of Moffat-Hate-Fatigue, I feel far too many feels discussing 'Husbands of River Song', I rant a bit about the show's portrayal of Rose and her relationship with the Doctor (contrasting it with River and the Doctor's relationship, natch), and I even embarrass myself quite a bit by uncharacteristically tacking on some small boopers/outtakes at the end of the show (despite my perfectionist side screaming in protest!).
So, I really do hope you all will join me for this episode and, as always, glad to have you all aboard. Enjoy the ride!

The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastHello to you and welcome to episode 103. Light on news so it’s a good job we’ve got plenty of chat plus our review of the 12th Doctor’s story Listen. Shhhhh…
The News
If you STILL haven’t been to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff there’s now another reason to get yourself there. They’ve just added the restored 4th/5th Doctor’s console! It’s beautiful and well worth the visit to see it close up.
Merch
We reported ages ago that Peter Davison was putting out an autobiography but it disappeared from our radar. It’s now back and with a new title – Is There Life Outside The Box? An Actor Despairs and will be released this October.
“Listen” Review
We’re back watching “attack eyebrows” this week as we dive into a very divisive story. Scary and creepy or smoke and mirrors? We’ve plenty to talk about with this one. Shhh….
That’s it for this episode and thank you for listening and those of you who commented and sent in clips, we really appreciate it. It’s back to classic Who next week with our review of the 4th Doctor’s story The Talons of Weng-Chiang and we’d love to hear your thoughts on that. Until than have a great week and remember – Allons-y!!

The Oncoming Storm Ep 180: NA #48 - SLEEPY
The Oncoming Storm*YAWN* So tired. After days of driving and all nighters playing games, The Oncoming Storm is back from vacation. And honestly, no one is really feeling up to podcasting. You might say, we're all... Sleepy. Ok, Ok, bad jokes aside, Josh, Jeff, and Rachel are here in episode 180 to discuss SLEEPY, our latest New Adventure by illustrious author Kate Orman. This one does not, however, focus on everyone taking sweet, wonderful naps. No, it's the real start of the Psi Powers series, and so we have a colony world on the brink of destruction from the spontaneous development of Psi powers everywhere! And only the Doctor and his companions can stop the evil corporations from enacting their plans and killing everyone on sight. There's also some timey whimey shenanigans going on, and lots of talking computers. And Doctor torture. Well, it *is* Kate Orman. All this, and Rachel tells us about the first half of The Legends of River Song short story collection. Josh promises to be quiet. The Oncoming Storm... this time, we've got a lot of bleeding eye sockets. Like, a LOT.

Classic Rewatch: Tomb of the Cybermen
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastThere are Doctor Who stories that you keep on a short list of those to recommend to the uninitiated or under-exposed, in hopes of winning them over to the fandom. Often these stories have a solid amount of explanation for newcomers, a solid plot and conflict to hold interest, and a degree of plausibility that will keep skeptics and critics at bay. There are also those installments of DW that are one's personal favourites, for a myriad of reasons, that may not be sound candidates for the aforementioned 'introductory' list, because they either rely too heavily on existing knowledge of the characters and relationships, are not approachable enough for the uninitiated, or are not ideal representatives of the series as a whole. Sometimes, however, the paths converge, and you have an adventure that is nothing short of wonderful for any viewer. This week, we revel in the simple perfection that is the fifth season classic, 'Tomb of the Cybermen'. Enjoying peak performances from Patrick Troughton and Frazer Hines, a thorough but not overly complex script from Pedler and Davis, great supporting cast, and a thoroughly enjoyable 'upgrade' to our titular villains, it is a staple of our new viewer recommendations, and simultaneously one of our most treasured classic Doctor Who adventures.
