Episode 804: Listen
Who NewThe Doctor believes a species exists that can perfectly hide at all times. They could be anywhere and everywhere. And The Doctor is scared.
Join us as we discuss Episode 804: Listen
The Doctor and Clara start researching The Doctor’s latest hypothesis – a creature that is perfect at hiding. Clara has her doubts but he asks her if she ever had a dream where someone under her bed grabbed her foot. When she answers probably, he hooks her up the the Tardis telepathic circuits and off they go.
A phone call from Danny distracts Clara and the Tardis arrives at a Children’s Home that she has never visited. She talks to a boy who turns out to be a young Danny Pink. Mysterious things begin to occur which eventually leads them to the actual end of the universe. But investigating ever further could lead to the Doctor’s past and that scares The Doctor.

Episode 59 - The Keys of Marinus (Philip Hinchcliffe; Jim Sangster)
Doctor Who LiteraturePossibly our biggest and boldest episode yet. The great Philip Hinchcliffe is back to discuss his third and (sadly) final Doctor Who novelization; August 1980's "The Keys of Marinus". Always an honor to speak to Philip, who had not read this book in decades and gained a new perspective on the text.
And Jim Sangster (@Monster_Maker) is back to discuss "Marinus" in both TV and book incarnations and why "Marinus" is so important to 21st-century "Doctor Who"... as well as Jim's prolific creative work and DW content, Bette Davis, limericks, and the long-awaited return of everyone's favorite game, "Guess That Cliffhanger".
The Bette Davis/George Colouris interview may be found in its entirety here.
The "Blake's 7" anthology for which Jim provided illustrations may be found and purchased here."Doctor Who and the Keys of Marinus" features cover art by David McAllister.

WHO 37 - A Doctor Who PodcastIn this technically challenged episode, we finally take on the Sixth Doctor with a Classic Commentary of “Terror of the Vervoids” (A/K/A The Trial of a Time Lord Parts 9-12), though, as always, we swerve way off topic the deeper we get into the story. We also give our Project Runway critiques of Ncuti Gatwa’s costume.

But it’s not Sarah Jane Smith who’s got the out-of-this-world scoop - it’s her rival, the unscrupulous Jenny Nettles. Extra! - A Verity! Regeneration
Doctor Who: Verity!Happy 2023, everyone! This year, after 10 years of podcasting, Verity! is going to regenerate! Join Deb, Erika, Kat, Liz, Lynne, and Tansy as we all look back at the last 10 years and share some general hopes for the future! We also chat about the trailer for the Tennant-and-Tate 60th anniversary specials. Much excitement and many feels all around!
Yes, that's right, Verity! will be taking a hiatus and making some changes, so think of this ep as the speech at the end of "Survival", but with the knowledge that the show WILL come back again -- and a lot sooner than Doctor Who did in the 80s/90s!
Many many thanks for listening, whether you've been with us since 2013, picked up somewhere since then, or are joining us right now! We appreciate the community that has built itself up around us, and we're excited to regenerate into the next version of Verity! to keep bringing you thoughts and feelings about Doctor Who for a good long while to come!
^E
Extra-special thanks to this week's editor, Steven Schapansky of Castria! Support Verity! on Patreon

Podcastica Episode 269: Frontier in Space OR No Corridors, Only Cells!
PodcasticaHappy New Year, friends! We're starting off 2023 with a six-parter that was almost a 12-parter that could have probably been told better in four parts. Yep, it's Frontier in Space! We've got Earth-Draconian tensions at an all-time high, Ogrons working for The Master who is ultimately working for the Daleks, plus there's a big random orange blob! It's all sorts of craziness...and did we mention there's lots of time spent in jail cells?

Gallifrey's Most Wanted Episode 136 -- Dark Water/Death in Heaven
Gallifrey's Most Wanted PodcastWe have reached the end of the 12th Doctor's first season. Victoria and Ross have new insights on this veiwing of these two episodes. Missy grand scheme come to it's climax, Danny dies, Clara greaves, and the Doctor is President of Earth, oh by the way that is a terrible idea. All these things seem new to Ross and that alone sparks some good conversation.

5.26 The Greightest Show
Doctor Who - Pieces of EighthHAPPY NEW Year! Doctor Who's 60th anniversary year is upon us in 2023.
And to kick off the celebrations, we asked our listeners to share with us their favourite Eighth Doctor stories, on TV, audio, books, comics, etc.
This episode is dedicated to the memory of our friend Si Hodges, who kindly provided us with images to use in several season three episodes, including the Beyond the Vortex episodes, and creating us a special piece of art for The People's Temple episode.

Episode 57 - The Power of Kroll (with Iain Martin)
Doctor Who LiteratureHappy New Year to all; we wish you a happy and healthy 2023.
My guest this week is the great Iain Martin (@broadanddeep), from oh so many great Doctor Who podcasts, including but not limited to We're All Stories in the End and All of Time and Space.
Iain proves a true challenge to the all-time "20 Questions" quiz title-holders.
While the TV version of "The Power of Kroll" doesn't win a lot of fans this week, the novelization was previously featured on Jason's Terrance Top Ten list in September 2019.
"Doctor Who and the Power of Kroll" features cover art by Andrew Skilleter.
Doctor Who Literature is now a member of the Direction Point Doctor Who podcast network. Please e-mail the pod at DrWhoLiterature@gmail.com.

Comedy to High Drama
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastFrom Amy’s imaginary friend to the Hero of Trenzalore, Matt Smith spent four years and more than a few centuries as the Doctor. So now that he’s gone, how do we think he did?
Notes and links
Thank you very much to the listeners who contributed their questions to this episode: DJ Alpha-T, Frazer Gregory and Nathan Bottomley.
Nathan claims to enjoy the idea that the Doctor is a somewhat problematic figure rather than just a traveller or a simple hero. Not everyone agrees, however. In this article in The Atlantic, Ted B Kissell complains that Matt Smith’s Doctor, is in many ways, a fairly terrible person.
As we said last week, Steven Moffat’s actual quote was that Matt Smith is like “Patrick Moore in the body of an underwear model”.
None of us seem to know anything about the ratings here, but The Day of the Doctor was apparently the highest rated drama for the year on the BBC, with 12.8 million viewers and an additional 3.2 million views on iPlayer. On BBC America, it had an audience of 2.8 million viewers, which was the highest rating ever received on the channel. (This, and more information about the special can be found on its TARDIS Fandom page.)

You can find Jodie into Terror, our flashcast on the entirety of the Whittaker Era of Doctor Who, at jodieintoterror.com, at @JodieIntoTerror on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and wherever podcasts can be found. We’ll be back with a new flashcast on the second Russell T Davies era in November 2023.
Our James Bond commentary podcast is called Bondfinger, and you can find that at bondfinger.com, at @bondfingercast on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else as well. In our most recent episode we watched a very silly film called Bullseye!, starring Roger Moore and Michael Cain.
We can also be heard on the Blakes 7 podcast Maximum Power, which is currently covering Series B of the show. In this week’s episode, Terry Nation makes a triumphant return to the show in Countdown.
And finally, there’s our Star Trek commentary podcast, Untitled Star Trek Project, featuring Nathan and friend-of-the-podcast Joe Ford. This week, we watched an episode of the Star Trek cartoon Lower Decks called Mugato, Gumato, in which the crew of the USS Cerritos rescue some rightly unloved space animals from the Original Series who have been captured by Ferengi criminals.
