TDP 1274: 2.2. The Paternoster Gang: Trespassers 2: The Casebook of Paternoster Row review
Tin Dog Podcastreview In Victorian England, the Great Detective, Madame Vastra, her resourceful spouse, Jenny Flint, and their loyal valet, Strax, solve conundrums, fight injustice and capture criminals - but an enemy has taken up residence undetected. Vastra believes trespassers are close at hand, and seeks out clues in some of the Gang's previous cases... 2.4 Anne of a Thousand Light Years by James Kettle The course of true love never does run smooth - especially when it involves a high-born young lady, a humble farmhand and extra-terrestrial chameleons on the lookout for breeding stock. Will Lady Anne Warminster marry the man of her dreams? Will the amorphous Glossophants secure their chosen spawn bride? Will Jenny ever finish reading a novel by Anthony Trollope? In the heart of the English countryside, the Gang tackle an assignment involving romance, skulduggery and horse manure. 2.5 Pater Noster by Gary Russell Something is hiding in the sewers of London, picking off the poor and lost souls who live down there... Madame Vastra opens a case file that takes her back to her early days and a Life Task that must be finally fulfilled. A case where she and her friends face death from an enemy capable of shredding matter into echoing screams... 2.6 The Gentlemen Thieves by Lauren Mooney and Stewart Pringle Vastra reviews the case of a 'one-man crime wave' - break-ins and burglaries, committed by the same handsome and daring thief, even when they were committed at exactly the same time. Unravelling the secrets of these doppelganger ne’er-do-wells, the Gang touch on the fringe of a bigger conspiracy. But as Vastra recalls the past, the dangers of the present are closing in.

The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastHey, Who fans and welcome to Episode 405.
It's been a while since we reviewed an animated lost story and what better story to dive into than the recently released, very Marmite offering, The Celestial Toymaker.
We've not spoken about it much on the podcast other than covering the release announcements (although our roving reporter Maria did a great round-up of the cinema release at The BFI) so it's time to see what all the fuss is about. Are we just as divided on it? Listen now for our thoughts plus all the usual Doctor Who waffle!

Tin Dog Podcastreview This title was released in April 2024. It will be exclusively available to buy from the Big Finish website until 31 May 2024, and on general sale after this date. Mysteries come in all shapes and forms. From a small-scale murder to an alien conspiracy. But when they arise the Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa and Adric are the perfect team to deal with them. The Merfolk Murders by Tim Foley (4 parts) St Andrews, Scotland, 1940. The Merfolk are a university society meeting through the summer to discuss murder mystery stories. Innocent escapism during wartime, they say. Their latest book is The Casebook of Orion Hood - whose hero is all-too-familiar to the Doctor... When a real-life murder occurs soon after their gathering, the Doctor’s friends encourage him to investigate. Is one of the Merfolk responsible? Was this crime the result of espionage or envy? The Doctor must embrace his deerstalker once more and solve this wartime mystery - before the killer can strike again! Dream Team by Lizzie Hopley (2 parts) “Welcome to Concordium! The one-stop destination for elite and effective corporate bonding.” A protected wonder of space is being exploited for ‘company away days’ but when the Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa and Adric land to challenge the organisers, they fall into a web of perfectly tailored nightmares. As the Doctor confronts one of the most dangerous monsters in existence, one that uses your own mind against you while it feeds, his companions fall deeper into the trap and a nasty truth is revealed - you can die in dreams. This release comes with a bonus audiobook download: Meanwhile, Turlough by Jonathan Blum. **Please note: the Collectors' Edition CDs are strictly limited to a pressing of just 1,500 copies**
