Tin Dog PodcastThe Moon has been sucked through a wormhole in space and has arrived countless miles away from its proper place. The crew of Moonbase Alpha can only guess at the resultant devastation left behind on Earth. They must decide how best they can survive. Some Alphans find it difficult to let go of the notion of returning to Earth, others are facing the reality that they must find another home to ensure the survival of the human race. They can't survive on Alpha indefinitely. 1.1 The Siren Call by Andrew Smith The people of Moonbase Alpha are recovering from the shock of their base and their Moon having been blasted through a wormhole in space. But now they are far from home with little hope of a return to Earth. Ahead of them is the planet Meta, whose signal somehow caused this catastrophe. Could this be their new home or does yet more danger lie ahead? 1.2 Death's Other Dominion by Roland Moore (adapted from the original teleplay by Anthony Terpiloff and Elizabeth Barrows) A voice calls to the Alphans from a mysterious, snowbound planet. Can it be possible that humans from Earth have really colonised this remote world? When Commander Koenig and his team investigate, they discover the planet Nival holds many terrible secrets. 1.3 Goldilocks by Andrew Smith Not too hot, not too cold. The perfect planet on which life can thrive. But not all forms of life that thrive in the Goldilocks zone are peaceful. The eyeball Earth artwork accompanying this podcast is a tribute to the cover art of the “Earthseach” novelisation. The clip which we play here is from “Earthsearch 1” episode 5: “The Pools of Time”.

54. Turlough & Torchwood // Randomoids 2 - The Selectortron Strikes Back
Doctor Who : The Sirens of AudioIn our second episode of stories picked by the Big Finish Randomoid Selectortron, we review Doctor Who Short Trips: Gardens of the Dead featuring Mark Strickson as Turlough and Torchwood: One Rule featuring Tracy-Ann Oberman as Yvonne Hartman.
Plus, Dwayne's heart is broken as he shares an email from a listener who doesn't appreciate his humour.
Of course, the burning question on everyone's lips is.... which stories will the Randomoid Selectortron throw up next?
Recommendations
Philip recommends Torchwood: Lease of Life (Big Finish Audio)
Dwayne recommends Doctor Who: The Paradise of Death (3rd Doctor, Sarah Jane and Brigadier story, BBC)

Real Characters
Last year we asked ourselves and our listeners a simple but important question: What makes Doctor Who important to you? The answer now lies within the pages of Real Characters: The Psychology of Parasocial Relationships with Media Characters, by Dr. Karen Shackleford, PhD (Ed.) from Fielding University Press providing insight into why we connect with fictional characters. The Doctor Changes, but the Feelings Stay the Same, is the bow-tie worthy Eleventh Chapter. Real Characters is available now on Amazon.

The List Makers - Top Doctor/Companion Teams
The Doctor Who ShowFollowing the popularity of our PRIMARY SOURCES episodes since they started dropping late in 2020 - particularly their 20 minute run-time - the Doctor Who Show is unveiling a new monthly show with a similar short format.
Doctor Who fans love lists. Are we right?
The List Makers will see the guys take a topic each month that involves creating a Top 5 list. They will then run through their lists, with minimal interruption to each other, then have an open discussion of both lists.
It's all about the chat!
If you like this format, write in and let us know. Suggestions for future lists to be drawn from The Hat of Rassilon are also welcome; get in touch!
