2MTL 343: The Hugo Rorschach Test
Two-minute Time LordLast month the Hugo nominees were revealed and thankfully, the controversies found in other award categories were absent in the Best Dramatic Presentation (Short Form) category. Which Doctor Who-related work, including the non-episodes AN ADVENTURE IN SPACE AND TIME and THE FIVE(ISH) DOCTORS REBOOT deserve the nod? And, these days, what does a Hugo really mean?
(Sorry I've been away; launching The Audio Guide to Babylon 5 with Verity!'s Erika Ensign and my wife Shannon has been a bit of a distraction!)

Radio Free Skaro #423 - The Life Aquatic with Michael E Briant
Radio Free SkaroDoctor Who is coming back in August, and the internet has the brief, presumably-Capaldi-silhouette-filled trailer to prove it! But the RFS lads were equally enamoured with a recently released fan trailer of P-Cap and J-Co traipsing around in the rain, made by none other than the mysterious John Smith, who not only created the stellar Wholock trailer that consumed the internet, but also appears in Warren’s own Skaromantic Comedy as the random victim of a comely Dalek lass!
But enough quasi-self-promotion, today’s Miniscope guest is none other than Michael E. Briant, director of "Colony in Space", "The Sea Devils", "The Green Death", "Death to the Daleks", "Revenge of the Cybermen", and "The Robots of Death"! Though we included our cogent analysis on said stories, we also went straight to the man himself, with an in-depth interview with Steven about his time on the show, the freedom afforded a television director in the 1970s, and even Briant’s new life as a full-fledged sailor. Avast, ye dogs!

Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel
The Rather Awful Doctor Who Episode GuideOccasional podcasters (Sorry!) Tim and Pete return FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE as they journey to a parallel universe in which there are two Noel Clarkes and zero regards for road safety as they look at the 2006 epic Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel, which they feel would really benefit from a snappy umbrella title. Spare Parts, perhaps. Warning: Contains jarring and gratuitous use of pop music.
