Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastThere’s a popular saying from a certain spandexed superhero that ‘with great power, comes great…’ something or other. This could mean a wide number of things, most of which don’t necessarily apply to us, being a trio of geeks with a few microphones and a love for British science fiction, seated around a studio that smells faintly of strange cheese and cat fur. But we do understand one facet of that interpretation, being the need to involve those whom we serve (in our own […]

Dig that heavy metal underneath your hood
Who's He?After what seems like years, Phil and Paul return to their series 2 retrospective with a look at Rise Of The Cybermen. How do the pair of them feel about this story after all these years and did it stand up as a reboot of the iconic Doctor Who villain? They discuss these topics whilst also comparing the Preachers to Citizen Smith which causes Paul to delve into Google.
And in the news, the pair of them try bravely to discuss a potential spoiler without actually telling anyone what the spoiler is and in Omega's Tat Corner it's time for Pop-tastic figures and some really expensive bluetooth speakers.

Radio Free Skaro #472 - Do The Hustle
Radio Free SkaroIn what may be a new record for top-of-the-show off-topic banter, much hashing out of the new Star Wars trailer (of course) occurred, along with Steven's descent into schedule and archived newspaper madness, wherein he charts out exactly when he (and by extension the other Two Who Rule) began watching Doctor Who on KSPS, the semi-local PBS station. Besides this lunacy, much discussion was had of a Series 8 soundtrack release (3 discs!), Dominic Glynn's excellent Ravalox Remixes of his original scores for 80s Who, Christopher Eccleston's recent comments on why he and Doctor Who parted ways, and much, much more! And! We also have Jono Park from the Zeus Pod podcast for a commentary on Time Heist! Can you stand the excitement?! Probably not, no.

Episode 65: Hard Work and Motivation are Never a Good Thing
Trust Your DoctorSeriously, this show has no hard work ever, making it a good idea!
This week Kiyan and Dylan finally succeed in integrating all their discussions into the summary of the serial, rather than just shoving it to the end, as usual. Thank goodness for Malcolm Hulke, his amazing penmanship skills, and his serial, The Sea Devils, which aired between the 26th of February and the 1st of April, 1972.

067: Frontios
The Krynoid Podcast"The earth is hungry. It waits to eat. I can see them. They are the appetite beneath the ground."
Mark Strickson now regrets snacking on Daz before shooting his key scenes in the 1984 comedy-woodlice fest, Frontios.
And these unrealistic bugs are not the only threat to our bespectacled cricketer, rabid schoolboy and Australian android PA from the Ministry of Silly Walks. No, there's a meagre monarch, his gruff 'no man', an oaken Orderly and his whiskery chum from the Village People.
But help is at hand in the form of Mr Raaaaaange (science officer and prophet of doom), his comely daughter and, inadvertently, the chief snot-encrusted Tractator - a creature with a nose for a nonsensical plan.
But how offensive is a chicken* vol-au-vent (*other fillings are available)? More or less than an exploding hat-stand? And what is the colony leader doing in Joe 90's egg whisk?
Jim and Martin struggle to answer these questions, while trying not to come to blows over the usage of fingers and tools.
Listen here for the whole sorry saga.

The Oncoming Storm Ep 150: BF #65 - A Very Unspecial Anniversary with Special Guest Star Davros!
The Oncoming StormAnniversaries. They say that after awhile, they're just another day. And here at The Oncoming Storm, we couldn't agree more. That's why in episode 150, Josh, Ashley, Rachel, and Jeff waste no time on marking the number of episodes. No one got time for that. So they spend their time instead looking at The Juggernauts by Scott Alan Woodard. Where to begin with this one? Shall we start with the Doctor? Or how about Mel and her new lease on life? Or maybe Davros? The Daleks? The Mechanoids? What, the Mechanoids? Are you serious? All of this, and a discussion of what's the better flavor of Daleks; with Davros or without? The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got soulless corporate stooges! Yeah, I know, it's not that impressive, but we already covered all the cool stuff a few lines ago!

The News
5th Doctor Peter Davison celebrated his 63rd birthday on Monday 13th April. He's looking great for his age and doesn't look in his sixties at all. Happy Birthday Sir!
Disney XD in the US is to air the 10th Doctor's series 2 starting in May.
The Mirror newspaper dropped a potential huge spoiler for the two-part opener for series 9. If you don't want to hear this rumoured spoiler at the moment, mute your audio at 11:20 for about 3 minutes.
Our first Q&A
Everyone loves a Q&A, they're all the rage these days. Seeing as we get asked a lot of questions while at conventions or on social media we thought it would be good to open it up for you to send in your questions for us to answer on the show. Thank you for sending in your audio clips, YouTube clips and questions on Facebook. Enjoy.
"The Time Meddler" Review
We go way back to series 1 of the classic years and soak up the gorgeous black and white grainy adventure with the 1st Doctor, Vicki and Stuart. Does the meddling Monk, Saxons and Vikings draw us into this timey wimey story or do we run back to the beach looking for the Tardis?
Thank you for larking about in the Tardis. It's been fun answering your questions and also revisiting the Hartnell era. Next week we're reviewing Tennant's Planet of the Dead so look out for the usual posts on Facebook and Twitter to send us your thoughts. Until next time - Allons-y!
