On the Time LashBen and Mark return from a short Series 9-centric break to discuss The Doctor's Daughter and Galaxy 4. Does Stephen Greenhorn fundamentally change the character of the Doctor? What is it about one shot characters that inspire such a desire to see them return? Just how many references to The Zygon Inversion can Mark cram in? Also: An ode to those wonderful people who bring us reconstructed Doctor Who stories.

TDP: THE WAR DOCTOR VOLUME 01: ONLY THE MONSTROUS
Tin Dog PodcastTHE WAR DOCTOR VOLUME 01: ONLY THE MONSTROUS review Three new battles for The War Doctor 1.1 The Innocent As the Daleks mass their time fleet for a final assault on Gallifrey, something ancient is waiting for them at Omega One. And a sacrifice must be made. Arch-manipulator and Time Lord strategist, Cardinal Ollistra receives shock news of the Doctor's death. Meanwhile, on the planet Keska, a parochial war has returned to plague a peaceful civilisation after decades of tranquillity. But how can such a war have any connection with the great Time War which, at any one moment in the whole of eternity, could threaten to tear the universe apart? If only the Doctor were still alive. 1.2 The Thousand Worlds With the high-ranking Time Lord Seratrix behind enemy lines, the War Doctor finds himself assigned to a rescue mission. But any room for manoeuvre is severely restricted by an area of space known as the Null Zone. Times have changed on Keska, and a countdown to destruction is beginning. But who are the Taalyens and what is their part in the great and terrifying Dalek plan? 1.3 The Heart of the Battle Trapped in a citadel swarming with Daleks, the Time Lord rescue force must find a way to overcome insurmountable odds. With the Daleks apparently planning to rule the Null Zone, perhaps their thirst for universal conquest and victory has been quenched... The War Doctor doesn't believe so -- but how can he prove it without destroying any chance of peace? As the countdown to the destruction of Keska proceeds, a deadly choice must be made... A choice that will define this Doctor, and perhaps forever cast him in the role of 'monster'. Big Blue Box Podcast - Episode 69
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastSeries 9 may well be over (until the Christmas Special that is) but we’ve still got loads of Who to review and discuss. This week we get stuck into The End of Time Part 1 but before that, everything that’s been happening in the world of Who…
The News
The BBC have recently made the scripts available for the last two episode of series 9 Heaven Sent and Hell Bent. If you want an insight into what makes the foundation for an episode of Doctor Who then they’re worth a read.
Next week’s Christmas Special the Husbands of River Song have had the broadcast times revealed and it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Here in the UK we’re fortunate to get it first at 5:15pm on Christmas Day, followed by our friends in the US and Canada later that day. Other countries such as Australia, New Zealand and some parts of Europe will have to wait until Boxing Day.
Those clever peeps over at Rubbertoe Replicas have given us a detailed close up of the new Sonic Screwdriver to be used by Peter Capaldi. It looks wonderful and I think will all be on our Christmas lists next year. If you can afford it that is!
“The End of Time – Part 1” Review
It’s been a long time coming but Garry has been wanted to chew the fat on this one with Adam for a while. Tennant’s last story is packed full of action, humour and sadness and it’s these things that often divide fans. What do we make of it though… RTD magic or epic failure?
This week’s trivia question
Last week we asked you – What is the Paternoster Gang’s address? The answer is – 13 Paternoster Row, London.
This week’s question is – Who is the first person the Fourth Doctor offers a jellybaby? Give us your answer in the comments below or post it on Twitter or Facebook. Good luck!
Thank you for your thoughts on our review episode, we cannot wait for Part 2 next week so be sure to give us your reviews for that too, look out for the Facebook post. Until next time – Allons-y!

Get Off My World
In Series 9 Minisodes 10, 11, 12: Get Off My Planet!, the boys recruit Twin Cities writer and luminary Rob Callahan to help analyse the final three episodes of Doctor Who series 9. Listen as Joshua man swoons over Peter Capaldi, Rob points out how Series 9 is kind of like Hellraiser but not at all like Tank Girl, Pat continues to enjoy other people’s head canon more than what ends up on TV, and Kelvin takes personal responsibility for the presence of neck tattoos in Doctor Who.

Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastWe asked GPR listeners to describe their reactions to the complete Series 9 in a one-term response, and were given completely valid answers such as “complicated”. Speaking personally? We’d have to add “exhausting” — in the best possible sense. With a madhouse collection of dark comedy, drama, suspense, farce, and a healthy dose of emotional gutting, there’s little we could possibly be left wanting after this remarkable season of Doctor Who. But there’s always Christmas, yeah? (Spoilers…) News Links: “Heaven […]

The Oncoming Storm Ep 164: Toy Soldiers
The Oncoming StormStar Wars Star Wars Star Wars. Star Wars? Star Wars. STAR WARS! Gimme that! That's enough of that, Ashley! We still have a show to run, one that is NOT Star Wars related! Remember? The Oncoming Storm episode 164 sees Josh, Ashley, Jeff, and Rachel look at Toy Soldiers, by Paul Leonard. And that's the only thing looked at this week, because some people can't tear their minds from a galaxy far, far away! But we digress. Toy Soldiers sees the Doctor, Benny, Roz, and Chris trying to break up a teddy bear child slavery ring. Oh, yes it is! Kids are being kidnapped to fit in an interstellar war, and, well, its not pretty. Will your hosts enjoy this dark commentary on war, or will it cause them to run for the trenches? The Oncoming Storm... This time we... yeah. Ok. I know... Star Wars.

Ep 99 - Party Like it's Series #9
Doctor Who: Verity! It's always a party when we have all six Verities in the house! Join Deb, Erika, Katrina, Liz, Lynne, and Tansy as we squee and muse and generally chat about series 9. It's tons of fun and less chaotic than you might expect. And as always, we veer into thinky territory as we discuss whether this season really is the most feminist of new Who (or whether it's really feminist at all). There's lots to cover, and we enjoy the heck out of covering it.
What did you think of series 9? Where do you weigh in on the question of this series' feminism? What do you think of Clara's arc? The hybrid (or lack thereof)? Let us know in the comments!
And don't forget to enter our Big Finish giveaway! [link on our site]

075: Planet of Evil
The Krynoid Podcast"Usually I only entertain friends in the TARDIS."
Everyone off to the tinselled Type 40 then for some serious wassailing! Like all the best parties, we'll no doubt end up clustered around the food machine.
Yes, it's our snow-capped Christmas 2015 edition in which Jim and Martin cast their occuloid trackers over the 1975 Tom Baker space epic (Forbidden) Planet of Evil and then appraise - but not unanimously praise - the last four episodes of 2015's Series 9, all under the influence of listener-brewed ale!
Many questions arise...
How much chest-hair should Morestran men of a certain age be revealing? Is a visit to Blackpool really that scary? And did Clara's 479th tear-stained death leave the lads' eyes as red as Sorenson's?
Listen and find out!
