Roy's Rocket RadioThis week I chat to prolific UK author Christopher Fowler, creator of the Bryant and May mystery series, as well as many other works of genre fiction, see http://www.christopherfowler.co.uk/ He also expounds some useful writing advice and, oddly, appears to share my difficulty in finding the new entrance of Foyles (about 10ft left of the old entrance - there's a big sign!) Despite his previous work in the film industry, deep connections with Hollywood, and the Bond films' cast and crew, he still can't help me get a date with Berenice Marlohe. Damnit. I also update you about my own writing and let you know what to expect from the show in next few weeks.

Into the valley of steel
Who's He?Once again it's time to for Phil and Paul to return to series 2 with their ongoing retrospective and The Age Of Steel. But after a few weeks of happiness, the podcast comes down to earth with a bump as while they find this is quite enjoyable, there is a lot wrong with it, especially for Phil who wears his grumpy face throughout this episode, with talk of Cybermen that can tip-toe and what was the point of Cybus anyway?
And Phil also keeps his grumpy face on during the news whilst talking about the return of Osgood in series 9 but gets a lot happier towards the end with the news that Doctor Who will be making an appearance in an upcoming LEGO video game.

Radio Free Skaro #476 - Ravolox and Bagels
Radio Free SkaroWe promise, this is almost certainly the last time we jabber on about superhero movies...but that is in fact what happens at the start of this week's episode, until Chris lobs a well-deserved boot heel into the proceedings and gets the Other Two Who Rule back on track and talking about Doctor Who...in the form of comic books! Oh, sweet irony. Sweeter still are a couple of vintage interviews supplied by (and in one case featuring) composer Dominic Glynn and iconoclastic Doctor Who producer John Nathan Turner! Interspersed with those chats are some preview tracks from Glynn's new EP "The Ravolox Remixes", available on iTunes May 18!

Episode 177: Creepy, Creepy, Creepy
The Sonic ToolboxCupboard, and peg dolls, and George...Oh, my! It's not deja vu, we are revisiting "Night Terors". We thought it would be a good idea to take a fresh look at this Series 6 story and see what we thought of it out of story arc contex (and without the starry eyes we always have with shiny new episodes).
WARNING: Contains rabbit chasing.

068: The Robots of Death
The Krynoid Podcast"You know, you're a classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain."
No, the Doctor isn't addressing your gentle hosts but Martin's favouritest actor ever is on the receiving end.
It's The Robots of Death - a tale of unwelcome bike reflectors, irresistible make-up and ludicrous millinery.
The Doctor and his mousy sidekick, Leela, are in a sand miner and in the frame for the mysterious marigold murders. But who's behind the rubber-gloved death-dealing droids?
The exasperated Uvanov? The bellowing Borg? Surely not tottietastic Toos? Or might the face, voice and trousers of another crew member put him under suspicion? Just maybe?
Listen in to hear if Jim and Martin can get to the sub-stratum of this miner problem.

episode 102 - The Wandering Minstrel Lives!!!
MarkWHO42 - The Doctor Who PodcastWere you worried in Robot of Sherwood when the Doctor told Alan-a-Dale he had only 6 months to live??!! Well worry no more because he is alive and we've got the proof. The cast sits down with the actor who played him, Ian Hallard. Not only do we revive the Merry Minstrel, we talk about Ian's small but important role in An Adventure in Space and Time. We talk Sherlock. We talk Poirot. We even talk about Ian's significant other and fellow Who/Sherlock coworker Mark Gatiss. Does Mr. Gatiss join in on the all fun? Maybe... We won't tell you for sure. Listen and find out. And for those of you who download the podcast version, we have a special news segment featuring more on season 9, including the return of a beloved character and a discussion as to how that could be happening. Plus, news on the DC TV series Legends of Tomorrow, featuring Arthur Darvill doing a little time traveling of his own. Markwho42. More fun than watching for red skies.

Big Blue Box Podcast - Episode 41
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastEpisode 41 is upon us and some great news stories await. We then dive into our review of Father's Day and as a new feature we're going to leave you each week with a trivia questions so thinking caps on. This way...
[powerpress]
The News
Osgood and the Zygons are back for series 9! Yes, that jaw-dropping moment when Osgood was killed, is now being explained in the upcoming series. As we asked ourselves at the time, was it Osgood or the "Zygon-Osgood" who bit the dust? We'll soon find out.
A special anniversary event is being held in New York to celebrate 10 years of Who. Organised by BAFTA Cymru, Cardiff Business Council, BBC America and BAFTA New York, it's a night to celebrate the enormous talent and work of the teams in Wales and to mix with the US guys. It sounds like a great event but we do have a few thoughts on this one.
Jenna Coleman has put laid to rest a few rumours that her character has little to no involvement in series 9. With many set photos now released it's an easy one to debunk and while it was purely speculation Jenna has gone on record to confirm her part in the next series.
Stand up comic Lee Mack has been onto the peeps at the BBC, desperate to land a guest role in Doctor Who. I guess hoping to follow in the footsteps of Frank Skinner, Mack wants to put a tick in the box as a Who fan.
"Father's Day" Review
This episode was released 10 years ago yesterday and although we hadn't noticed, it's a very well timed review. An early episode of the Eccleston run it's an emotional and well written story but does it leave us teary eyed and happy or bored and wanting more? Listen on to find out.
This week's trivia question
In the episode Midnight, what is the waterfall made of? Tweet or Facebook us your answer and we'll read out the correct ones next week.
Thanks for stopping by and listening to us again this week. Thank you for your thoughts on Father's Day. Next week it's Pertwee time and Carnival of Monsters so look out for our usual post on Twitter and Facebook for you to leave your comments on. Have a great week and until next time - Allons-y!

The Oncoming StormG'Day Mates! Through another shrimp on the barbie, because the Doctor is heading to the Outback of Australia! ...
Sorry, sorry. We've 'sacked' the normal description guy. We here at the Oncoming Storm will not tolerate such cliche openings! Yes, this week's story, Dreamtime by Simon A. Forward, does see the Doctor, Ace, and Hex arrive at a floating, Australian city in space. And yes, the story is filled with a ton of Australian accents. But it's about so much more than that! Like mysticism! The mysticism of the Australian Outback. And... bullroarers. Crikey. Forget it. Bring on the Koalas. The Oncoming Storm... oh oh! This time, we've got those alien bird lizard guys again! They're not Australian!

Like mysticism! The mysticism of the Australian Outback. And... bullroarers. Crikey. Forget it. Bring on the Koalas. The Oncoming Storm... oh oh! This time, we've got those alien bird lizard guys again! They're not Australian!

Ep-38 : Grimlock
Playing Doctor: A Doctor Who PodcastOur good friend Dennis Black-N-Asian returns to talk about the series 3 episode, Gridlock. the Doctor and his rebound companion, Martha, take a trip to New Earth. As a reflection of his relationship with her as compared to Rose, he ends up going to grim, post-apocalyptic version of NNY’s history instead of the idyllic apple grass scented futuristic paradise. Much like modern day Earth, they get stuck in a traffic jam and that’s where their adventures begin.
